Guys, do I have to wipe data/factory reset to flash RocketRom V2?
Rocket Rom thread doesn't write any instructions about flashing V2, the only instructions available is for V1.

Do I have to wipe data/factory reset or just wipe cache & davik?
Anyone with an answer please help me. icon_question.gif

By the way, I came from the Taiwan ROM, already rooted & flash CF Kernel using Mobile Odin (Finally succeed in using Mobile Odin).
*
b1) coming from RocketROM v1, other rooted LPY-ROM or rooted ICS Stock ROM (No Wipe):

- boot in Recovery
- Wipe Caches and Dalvik only!!! Don't FullWipe!!!
- Flash ROM
- reboot system
-...you are done

b2) coming from other rooted LPY-ROM or rooted ICS Stock ROM (FullWipe):

- download Abyss Kernel 4.2 from here: http://www.mediafire.com/?c65mndvpk6ocbaa
- put zip-file on your USB-storage
- boot in Recovery
- Flash Abyss Kernel 4.2!!!
- boot back in Recovery (find it under 'advanced')
- now FullWipe!!!
- Flash ROM
- reboot system
-...you are done

Btw, after roughly 2 days with RR v2 + SIII theme, found out the battery life is quite good. biggrin.gif

not flashing it from within stock recovery? Can try take out the battery for 30 second and restart recovery - vol up + home + power. See boot up from Abyss or not. smile.gif

it happens only once in a lifetime (touchwood) on my Note few months ago, for a very short period of time, about 1-2 seconds only. I think it is caused by extreme lag when the phone is too busy.

u have to put the mp3 in the folder media>audio>notifications
*
in RR V2 rom, those folders are at the root. You can see Notifications, Alarms and Ringtones Folders at the root. If the folders are not there, just make one with the name coz i think not all 3 folders are there as default but can't remember which ones.

i will strongly recommend to flash to RRv2.

Pros:
1. Fast and smooth
2. Much better battery life
3. Can add-on SIII theme thumbup.gif

Cons:
1. No Chinese input build in.

after upgrade to ICS, my battery drain very fast than before.. charge full100% 7am in the morning.. normal usage.. around 3 pm already below 20%..
*
the battery life may not have worsen, just that the battery calibration may be off. Try use the phone until it auto power off, then charge until full, repeat 2-3 cycles to see got improvement or not.

Some bros here reported same problem but after a few days usage, they got a better battery life.
