BTW, im assuming you wanna flash pre rooted ICS then flash Rocketrom?? just to share, i was having problem going from odex pre rooted stock rom to Rocketrom V1, bootloops.... then had problems trying to flash Abyss 4.2 and had to go back and forth between my GB nandroid and ICS....

Finally managed to have a successful flash, I flashed the stock original LPY (not prerooted) with CF root kernel with mobile odin  and after 1st boot during the usual android setup, immediately go to recovery and flash over Rocketrom with ONLY wiping cache and dalvik... NOT FULLWIPE...

So the safe and 100% successful way is installing LPY Stock-ROM, root Stock ROM and then go on as described below under point b2). NONO...dont go from GB to rocket....u get boot loops... go from Stock ICS LPY + CF root kernel from mobile odin and then Rocketrom V1/2...

somehow the odex pre rooted LPY ICS got problem also , at least in my case...

ducky try revert to pre-root rom GB DXLC2..and this time dont tick repartition..and dont put pit file..after successful flash then u do full wipe using CWM RECOVERY..

start from scratch..from pre-root GB DXLC2 flash the ICS Germany Version via MOBILE ODIN PRO. dont forget to TICK EVERROOT,INJECT S/U,INJECT MOBILE ODIN..so u then u will got force root on ICS ROM..then flash LPY using MOBILE ODIN..then u can go to RR V2..

yes..n remember dont tick repartition and dont load PIT file..

btw yes GERMANY VERSION IS LPY AND TAIWANESE VERSION IS LPT..

or other option is flash the pre-root germany version LPY..look at my siggy..

how about if i am currently now on LP9 rooted
then:-

1) flash to LPF Taiwan using PC Odin
2) Boot into CWM
3)Flash abyss kernel 4.2
4) Wipe caches & DAlvik
5) Flask RRv1
5)Reboot

is my step correct? sifu's pls advise

yes PC ODIN..but i cant guarantee u will get full root since ur base also partial root..but u can try and report back here..

if you are already on LP9, shouldn't you just skip step 1 and do step 2 straight?  What's the point of doing Step 1?

I think in summary, the first step to flash ICS custom ROM is to flash a working Abyss 4.2 as a tool to flash custom ROM.

Only way is to find out bro...hehehe...its a very subjective case by case matter...

I had no success on the prerooted LPY so opt to go by stock LPY with CF root kernel from rooted GB... I also had no luck with Abyssnote 4.2 and only can use Abyss 3.9...

haha...actually i tot just flash officially LPF rom as it is thru pc odin which going to be full wipe....thats y im not sure if im correct or not then only flash it to RRv1....cause according to UncleBenny comment...RRv1 with LPF kernel offers the best batt consumption...

any sifu can comment on this...can i just flash it str8 away without bricking my phone?

i m also worry about to flash the RRV2 bcause of bootloops since i m on stock GB root.

no...currently on rooted LP9.....the idea i had is go to LPF now and root it...then to RRv1...coz i tot want to have the LPF kernel with the RRv1...but just another forumer mentioned that if i flash it with RRv1 then the kernel will be flashed out already since its based on LPY

haha..i thought of flashing RRv2 at first...but then after reading xda comments...i think i should put on hold on that first so maybe go with RRv1 first..hehe

How come you still have no CWM ??
Than just flash Ketan CWM zip and boot into its recovery. From there flash Abyss Kernel 4.2 and use its recovery to wipe data/cache and flash directly RR2

is RRv2 any good??? i'm hesitating coz of Kalagas theme... dont really like too colorful icons

His recovery and root files screwed up = that is why I recommend him to flash 3.9 and use its recovery to restore back his GB rom

This is a faster and better step : use odin in PC flash prerooted German ICs than proceed with Rocket. No need to go back to GB rom
