So the "r" means rc mode... What about ttl ?...
See, i so noob with flash...
TTL - Through The Lens flash metering system that was introduced by Nikon in 1980. It basically communicates with the camera and the flash will adjust based on the cameras metering and shutter speed. In essence, it's smart enough to know how much of intensity of light needs to be produced from information gathered by the camera.
Yea R =RC mode.

Added on June 18, 2012, 1:47 pmI'm still deciding which to go for. The Metz cost higher than the Oly. But I can't find any good reviews on the Oly but the Metz seems solid and dummy proof for us newbies. Confused...?!
Added on June 18, 2012, 1:48 pmQuite tempted to get this FL600R. It's weather proof built and light weight.
Chief, I cant commend on Metz but Oly flashes are pretty dummy proof. Easy to use, and most important features r included. This is apparent when they choose to include full rotate n swivel for even the entry level fl36r.
Indeed the fl600r will rock but it may well be overkill on the OMD and the monster is huge. But if money isn't an issue and u want the best for ur OMD, the 600 is the best choice la.
For me, I'm looking out for another unit of fl36r to do RC lighting. One to fill the scene with bounce n the other to give some directional lighting. But this would b for indoor shots la. Should b splendid for Macro too. Total poison is still cheaper than a single fl600r I believe.
