Fl600r is of coz the best option of Oly flash but it is also the biggest.

I'm using the small potato fl36r now n although I totally hate olympus's screw head mechanism on their flash, the 36r has a fully rotatable n sviwel head and it has slave, and wireless command mode.

The TTL feature also works well with the OMD. If u ask me, the fl36r or fl50r ar more suited for OMD usage. Fl600r is too big la n it's more catering to videography as it comes witha led video light.

So the "r" means rc mode... What about ttl ?...
See, i so noob with flash...
*
TTL - Through The Lens flash metering system that was introduced by Nikon in 1980. It basically communicates with the camera and the flash will adjust based on the cameras metering and shutter speed. In essence, it's smart enough to know how much of intensity of light needs to be produced from information gathered by the camera.

Yea R =RC mode.

I'm still deciding which to go for. The Metz cost higher than the Oly. But I can't find any good reviews on the Oly but the Metz seems solid and dummy proof for us newbies. Confused...?!

Added on June 18, 2012, 1:48 pm
Quite tempted to get this FL600R. It's weather proof built and light weight.
*
Chief, I cant commend on Metz but Oly flashes are pretty dummy proof. Easy to use, and most important features r included. This is apparent when they choose to include full rotate n swivel for even the entry level fl36r.

Indeed the fl600r will rock but it may well be overkill on the OMD and the monster is huge. But if money isn't an issue and u want the best for ur OMD, the 600 is the best choice la.

For me, I'm looking out for another unit of fl36r to do RC lighting. One to fill the scene with bounce n the other to give some directional lighting. But this would b for indoor shots la. Should b splendid for Macro too. Total poison is still cheaper than a single fl600r I believe.

Yes, I've got that ultral wide eye-popping lens. Have yet to fully tested it. Should get it if you take lots of landscape or architecture shots.

Here's a quick test the same day I've got the lens:

Anyway, here's what every (90%) OM-D owners faced when we first purchased the camera; We asked for screen protector and "none" are available in the market (malaysia) specially designed/ready-cut for our precious. I was one of them... I got the smaller cheap (free) screen protector applied when I got my baby OM-D from the shop I bought. The (free) screen protector I've got from the shop is small and it did not cover fully on the LCD screen. It makes the screen ugly when viewing the shots.

Yea, we too had that problem. The initial batch of Vikuti 3M that I ordered for taikos here all didnt fit well too. =/ That was a bad exprience.

Xandman n s4a, korang stop poisoning boleh x? smile.gif

We should promote and challenge each other to use our camera n it's kit Len kau kau instead.

Buying more lens is everyone's dreams (including mine!) but having more
Lens simply means having less time on each Lens as there can only b one lens on one camera body in one given time.

And to work on that statement, WHEN R WE HAVING OUR SHOOTING?!

Grrrrrr! Lol

Word of advice, it's very hard to find a protector that fits the OMD well and perfectly in shops in Malaysia. If s4a can get his direct fr overseas, best to get it fr him. smile.gif
