Been so busy these few days with work. SG photos also haven't start editing. Arghhh.

BTW guys, do u guys experience "uneven" display on ur OLED LCD? I recently noticed in dark shooting environment, it becomes very obvious that there's like a uneven line running in the middle of my LCD. Horizontal band of uneven lighting at the middle.

Doesnt affect viewing orusage of the LCD la but im just wonder if its a normal thing.

Added on July 10, 2012, 2:55 pmWent to my local cam shop just now to test their unit their to try to compare. Ironically, i could not reproduce the problem. Shop fella said that if its not present all the time, its not really a faulty LCD which sounds quite reasonable.

Then while in the carpark basement, I tested the cam and realised its only present in low light environment. Dark or night. the problem becomes more obviously when u sent the cam to slow shutter speed in those environment.

Here is the shot i took of the camera display in a darken bed room at slow shutter speed. Notice the brighter horizontal line in the middle.

Set it to Slow Shutter and then take the gray display when the shutter is open. Colored display like what u show is fine on mine too. it must b like a totally even color. But yea, i may hv a lemon

Just met up with S4A....his is pristine n beautifully black. So my unit's entering the hospital tmrw. Hope Olympus sorts it out.

My OMD masuk hospital d. The service centre in Mont Kiara is beautiful. They have all the cameras there for demo and they set up a small shooting area. There's even a dedicated OMD display area. Very artsy fartsy. They got their technical guy to speak directly with me. He said he's never seen such a problem before so I guess I indeed should buy a lottery. Anyways, he'll check it thoroughly to see if it's the CCD or the LCD that faulty but to me it's definitely the LCD la. Photos shot r fine.

They seem quite professional about it and I tested their demo unit n it's as black n evenly lit as s4a's unit. Hope they'll sort it out ASAP n get it repaired properly n well. Should get news on it by Friday. Sniffs. Miss my OMD already.

75mm f1.8 Olympus doing walkabout on Sat 8am. I think next week.
