Olympus OM E-M5 couple with LEICA DG SUMMILUX 25mm F1.4 ASPH, will give 50mm focal length of FF?

How much roughly will the body+lens cost?

Added on July 18, 2012, 10:03 pmAny idea why Olympus 45mm and Panasonic 20mm is most popular lens?
*
hi, yes. m43 lens have a 2x factor when converted to FullFrame (FF). Hence the 25mm will equate to 50mm.

The 45mm is very famous and popular due to its ability to really produce some superb sharp images.

You need to know if you are comfortable with the focal length. How often will you use it? The 45mm f1.8 is a great lens too and I think there are more things to be shot with that focal length. And it is only RM999.
*
I totally agree on the focal length being too long but nevertheless, the optics on the beast is of a whole new level. That's fr what I've seen so far of the test shots. Now if only Oly would release a 25mm in that quality.

While the Canon EOS-M looks amazingly yucky but the fact that it uses the same CCD as the 650D is bleeping crazy. The photos will be amazing. =/ OMD dethroned.

Why wait? Panasonic Leica 25mm is another beast.  rclxms.gif
There is a misunderstanding on bokeh. When both lens are at f1.8, they get the same amount of depth of field if you do the same framing, i.e. if you frame just the head and you need to stand at 4.5 meter with 45, you need to stand 7.5 meter now to get the same framing, the depth of field will be the same, so same amount of bokeh - different focal length, different weight, different size and different $ u pay. Oh, same brand. biggrin.gif
*
I agree on the PL25 being a great lens but it's CA and purple fringing is unfortunately quite significant.
