EA got sell the surface skimmer ya? I'll go check this weekend.. How much is it? Thinking of getting a new HOB filter for my tank since I gonna my tank collections, how much is Eheim Liberty 200 around?

CO2 related question, how much bps does a 3.5ft tank roughly need, if the tank is filled with plants at 60-70%? And based on the rough estimate of bps, what CO2 tank size is recommended?
*
i sellign surface skimmer Rm25. Please refer to my blog for image.
but i dont think it is possible to attach an HOB.
by the way, you are using 3.5feet tank with HOB only?

you would need co2 indicator to dose correct amount of gas into your aquarium. adjust co2 bps according to co2 indicator color.
there are NO accurate guide on bps for any aquarium size, because co2 dissolve is depending on your water flow, aeration, plants, light, many more factors.

wanna ask opinion of sifus here.
should i go for a filter taiyo 1200 or one eheim 2217? RM150 vs RM400+
i wanna complement my current taiyo 1000CF which is very low on the output already after passing through co2 reactor and chiller.

4ft tank. 250 liters of water.
*
keep your outlet hose as short as possible.

Growth is liquid type.
if you want solid type there are few types in market, for ADA, they have multi bottom and iron bottom smile.gif
i heard SERA brand also quite effective.

Regulator got water?  probably checkvalve not working..tank water back flow.
*
i think his tank was leaking co2 very fast and air around the leakage point was condense. thats why will have water droplets.
1200psi is really high.

bro, better buy la instead of DIY or repair it, beli the cheapest la without the gauge like kimi said. you maybe can find cheap ones by buying second hands.
dont think that regulator can repair la, since its the basic type and its china made also, this is not bosch or festo regulator bro which can easily repair.
just realized my tank needs a haircut, egeria densa seems growing out of the tank lol,
shrimps all gone except a few blue coloured berried ghost shrimps.
seems like my auto-water tank dispenser works but still needs to tweak a lil bit.

*
good thing never come cheap.
cheap thing never serve good. remembers smile.gif
manual regulator without gauge is pain-in-@ss. you wont know when will the co2 died off.
If it happens during RAya or CNY, then good luck to you and your setup.
I would suggest to get a second hand, post a WTB thread in petstore section will help.

ya. they don't seem to care when you told them.  shakehead.gif

+1.
thats what happened to me when i told the malay workers to remove the dead fishes from their aquarium.
i said to them that dead fishes will actually generate sickness to other living stock since they are sharing same filter system. rclxub.gif

guys, i'm planning to upgrade my t8 lamps 36w x 2 to led floodlights. anyone got experience if i'm ok with 4 x 10W type or need 4 x 20w types for my standard 4ft tank.? the specs are cool white 5000-6000k lights. looking at those china-mari ones...
*
if you want to grow the same plants, then 4 x 10w will do.
since 36Wx2 is way too low for a 4feet tank.

4x20w i believe can enable you to join glosso/hairgrass/Hc club smile.gif
try find 8000k or 10000k color temperature. 6500k white LED still making plants look strange for me.

QUOTE(kurangak @ Jun 23 2012, 06:24 PM)
its is HC, stands for Hemianthus callitrichoides, n yes..it does needs co2
*
yes. that is HC in emerse form.
you need high light, high co2 and high nutrient.

QUOTE(HyourinMaru @ Jun 23 2012, 07:38 PM)
Hi guys,do you all put fertilizer for your plants?Or just let the fish and shrimps to fertilize the plants?
*
depending on what kind of plants you want to grow, and also depending on what is your soil/base substrates.

ic... thz... so i can start buying the tank 1st...
Any recommend place that i can get everything together ?
I was hoping to find those plastic tank with round edge...
*
please state your location and budget first. then it would be much more easier for us to recommend planted tank size for you.

Planted tank is very easy to take care when it is matured (about 1year plus, without major changes in aquarium load/ setup)
you only need to pay more attention when first start.
Bigger planted aquarium has much stable water parameters, therefore you required less water change and less casualty on livestocks smile.gif
