I see.... thank for the info.... just joint aquascaping.... if we use filtered water, like tecnowater @ bio aura we don't need to put anti-chlorine right?... correct me if i'm wrong...
*
normal filter water only filter out dirt. you need anti-chlorine.
only RO water is 99.9% clean water, with MINIMAL chemical substance. you dont need anti-chlorine but you need liquid ferts. lol.

aged water tab..
rain water also can... save cost somemore

rain water is quite a risk step, especially you are living in town area.
we dont know what will be inside rain water (100% have dust) , sometimes if acid rain then byebye to your shrimp colony.

Plants from East Aqua MV is famous of killing livestock.
For those that are still looking for plants, i highly recommend you guys to look for home breeders.
So far i only buy from planted tank keepers from penang and johor.
sorry to say that i dont trust online seller or shopkeepers. most of them get stock from distributor instead of their own farm.
"Direct from farm" doesnt mean it is cheap and fresh, but it might full of pesticide.

All you guys here using amazonia ker?
*
if you are serious about fully planted tank, amazonia is highly recommended.
others may choose JBL/help soil but i dont think its nutrient can last as long as ADA.
Browse through my blog, you might find some useful information there. http://aquascapeworld.wordpress.com/

start from small. alon-alon. play basic one as big as 1.5ft is ok. you can start as low as 300. you try to learn from the tank first. after gained all the confidence, u can straight away setup for your 3ft tank.
*
no need to waste time and money ba since he already got 3feet tank equipments.
why spend Rm300 now and throw them away next few months later?
most of my clients start 2feet or 3feet. As long as they follow to my advise, only small algae problem at start (which is common problem for ALL amazonia soil user)
Well, soil Rm270 + 5elements 4+4+4+8+8 Rm56, light sunsun T5HO 36w x3 Rm250.

Since you are not using co2, then your light shall not be too high.
IMHO, 3tubes T5HO is good enough for your setup, even you go for pressurize planted tank, you can consider to prolong your light hour if you dont want add extra light.

his only newbie. dunno if he really2 determined and into aquascaping lor. just give him a light start. and it is not a waste also to setup one. it called experience. just like you. you start with a small business first right?

but anyways, he determined what he will want to do. just my point of view.
*
i start with 2feet planted tank, then converted into 3feet. It was about Rm1.5k cheapest to setup a 2feet few years back.
3feet at least Rm3k.
Thats why i started this online business to provide much cheaper source of products to planted tank keepers.

once you played with 3feet tank, 2feet is no more fun. blush.gif

QUOTE(Proclaimer @ Jul 2 2012, 11:17 AM)
1)  glass tank, good quality I would say
2)  no idea(cheapo light)
3)  no idea too( cheapo filter)

I guess for a tank that size, it doesn't matter that much? Or am I wrong?  Sifus please enlightened me. Just want to get a budget tank for experiments.

So anyone seen any cheaper for a set tank 1ft for less than rm88? icon_question.gif
*
2feet tank outside selling Rm30, HOB can get at Rm40.
Cheapo light Rm15-30 but it is totall USELESS for planted tank.

use air hose to siphon out water slowly. add anti-chlorine in new water before you use it.

kimi:
put bubble counter AFTER fine tune regulator.
Every tank need different amount of co2. you would need to adjust separately.
