QUOTE(tunertoobe @ Jun 16 2012, 02:19 PM) Oooh, in their website, they say they have a headphone coming up called the Muramasa VIII. And their website is creepy. What's up with those perfectly symmetrical faces showcasing their products being worn? But OMG, it features a twin driver setup! One 40mm driver and one 8mm tweeter in each earcup! LOL, yes they are creepy, but unique!! at least we know there is a website with this type of showcase, and it is final audio design, we will remember them forever, instead of dull commercial boring product showcase website. Ain't i right?

QUOTE(windboy @ Jun 20 2012, 08:24 PM) Wow... RM 30k Maybe Final Audio Design should consider making something cheaper like they did for the Adagio.

They seem to like starting from the top first and make their way down (in terms of price segment). SO maybe later we will see their more affordable headphones.

Dunno. It has a smaller driver tuned for high frequency and a larger driver tuned to handle the rest but no electronic crossover (as stated in their website). It's a mechanical crossover (much like JVC's HA-FXT90) so it could sound fabulous, having the traits of a dual driver and without the problem of the electronic crossover. Funny though that the tweeter driver is only 8mm, which is IEM sized. This config is similar to the Radius DDM. If it has the sound sig of the DDM but without the incoherency problem, and masked detail, and grander sound stage....my oh my!! This post has been edited by tunertoobe: Jun 21 2012, 01:09 AM

too bad it discontinued due to the production cost is too high. It is a gorgeous piece of art, the price seem outrageous, however other brands such as Stax do have high end expensive headphone too, so i wouldnt really get shocked by how they charge.
They build with quality and passion

Just auditioned (a little bit) on the Adagio II, blown away by its sound stage, clarify and what I like most, the bass... while compared to Shure SE215, the bass still not as punchy but I can't wear the Shure SE215 properly due to my butter finger and my spectacles *sigh*... But, overall kenak poisoned by Final... nuu... my wallet... T.T;; next month blow again...

They build with quality and passion I found in a recent forum discussion that they've only made 10 units, and some pre-orders were cancelled as well. I guess they might've bitten off more then they could chew. Basically, this thing's a flop.

I see it in another way. It makes the Murasama more rare than ever.
