Yep. Tried it. Less refined compared to Heaven IV, but still retain the same house signature (uniquely thick and echo sound).
What would you like to know? Or compare with other IEM? brows.gif

omg perfect. im actually not an iem guy but trying to fit in the iem world. but untill now , i havent really find my 'perfect' iem. ive bought the gr02, fxt90, ckm500, cx300. but non of them really fit my taste for metal. as for headphone i do own a lot of them . and my current fav is ath es700. do you think the heaven II comes close to the es700 ? because in the review i heard its a balance , intimate , mid focused iem. if that is what it is maybe the heaven II is what im looking for

I own both of those before, but I'm not a fan of metal, so i can't comment on the metal genre standpoint but in general.

GR07 compared to the other 2:
1. Super balanced. The other 2 cannot compete in terms of balanced sound. Frequency is evenly spread. Neutral to slightly bright signature.
2. Staging is fairly wide (left-right) but not deep (front-back).
3. Bass can hit hard, but not really punchy unless the song is obviously punchy.
4. General use for most genre, most things are done right, although no particular thing shines.

FXT90 compared to the other 2:
1. Well, honestly, this is a very personal taste from me: This IEM is very bright, and might sound thin on certain songs. Thin, as in lacking bass.
2. Bass can hit hard, not bloated, but not really engaging.
3. Treble spike might be very obvious. Bright IEM, high on treble. I remember Bon Jovi's "Have a Nice Day", during the chorus it's a super mess because so much noise on the background.
4. I haven't really find out what it excels. But then, it does sound great (i'm confused also) on some songs on some particular days.

Heaven II?
1. Cheapest among the 3.
2. The mids are thicker, and there's a special "echo" effect.
3. Fantastic for vocals as it uniquely colors the mids.
4. Not having really wide or deep soundstage. But the echo effect does make up for the special environment feel.

well if im telling you i will get the gr07 AND the heaven II and will only keep 1, which 1 should i go with first ? since the gr07 is more expensive im leaning towards the heaven II now. but im a lil bit scared that the heaven II wont fit my taste and i have to sell it and starts saving for the gr07 pulak so yah. should i go straight to the gr07 or heaven II 1st. thanks in advance ! and uh since i heard that the heaven II is similar to the heaven IV, can u please try to listen to some metal on your heaven IV and tell me your impression ? opeth , metallica and slayer are my fav. if u can do that i'll really appreciate it

and also by what i read the es700 is a mids focus headphone (im not a pro) so do you think ill like the heaven II the most because of its mids ? really hate the fxt90 coz i think its a V shape sound sig right

Honestly, my problem is how to evaluate metal song? Haha. Let's be simple:
1. GR07 is suitable for all kinds of genre. And it's tiny, so you can walk around with it. The downside (compared to Heaven II) is that it doesn't seem to have the same kind of "magic" that Heaven II has, which is the echo and the lush mids. It sounds very neutral to my ears.

2. Heaven II is very colored. In fact, all Final Audio Design IEMs are colored. So, you might either very very love it, or just plainly don't like it. It isn't really suitable for all songs. But on some particular songs, when the frequency really fits, omgwtfbbq you'll fall in love!

Okay, if i'm free i'll try out some at the stores. Maybe I'll pay attention if metal songs are clean and fast?

I used to own a gr07. I can only says its mid is so smooth n beautiful, probably the best iem i tried below Rm1000. Too bad...it just gone, dunno y the left driver suddenly no sound dy sad.gif...Personally I m not a fans of FAD but i think FAD is not as overall as GR07. FAD Heaven can present vocal very well due to the lush mid (not as smooth aa GR07 still) smile.gif You can see Gr07 is used as a comparison to many iem in |jokers| multi-iem review at headfi. If u have the budget, i will always recommend u to go for the Gr07 biggrin.gif

I would say three of them are comparable. Ultimately depends on the music signature that you like.

and need to ask you this bro wallabies, im thinking to get the hippo mook amp to pair with my colorfly c3 and my upcoming astrotec ax35. do you think its worth the investment ? or should i save up more and buy higher end amp. more iem is coming btw so its not only the ax35 it will be pairing in to. (some of it will definitely be the heaven II and gr07 tongue.gif)

Higher end of course, only if you can notice the differences, or improvement to be precise cool2.gif

C3 is okay, expensive-like-hell DAPs are not that great anyway, just find a good IEM to be paired with the Colorfly

Tried the GR07 weeks ago at Jaben, had a great time and yes the GR07 is really special thumbup.gif
