in my opinion, FAD II is hard to push if playing without amp. tried it before at Jaben Network, Subang Jaya and from one of my friend who is using FAD II. but if using amp (tested with GoVibe), the sound is really..................... WOW!  flex.gif

sry for bumping old thread comment hehe..  sweat.gif

Some certain model require for driving, such as Heaven S or IV, but without any amp actually is fine, i'm using Adagio V, Heaven IV for daily unamp usage, while going full force on PF VIII ^^

yea, i do feel that Sony XBA series actually require more amp compare with Final Audio Design, most of FAD's are sensitive, if the source and amp doesnt match well, here goes the sound.

I cant hear hissing when i pair my FADs with amp, its less obvious when i pair with FAD-A2 compared to A3

XBA-1 definitely need amp
*
FAD is harder to get correct amp, as wrong amp can turn the sound into horrible mode.

If you have the chance, try out the PF series, gosh this is the pair that i choose without any regret in my life.

Artistic product and sound indeed, that's why i choose that instead of Custom earphone.

To Fi-Ba-SS

or

To PF VIII/IX

It is a question...
*
i listened to both of them, and finally settled with PFVIII in my pocket.
Both of them are great, FIBASS has the best detail and transparency ever i try in any earphone in the market, amazingly present and superb for detail lover, it has balance and correct sound.

PFVIII is a weird and unique earphone/bud?
The reason why i pick PFVIII over FIBASS, PF offered a total new listening experience, nostalgic, old school and feel of the music, frankly, i dont get them in any high end inears, include expensive Custom like JH audio, westone etc...

When using PFVIII, i'm no longer worry about detail, stage, neutrality, bass impact, treble extension etc... i'm using it because i like the voice of the song, i'm involved deeply into the song, not how detail the earphone can produce.
So... FIBASS is easier to accept by user, while PFVIII is an odd situation, either you like it a lot, or it is a piece of crap to you, try them if you are able to.

You can check out how head-fiers discuss on their experience for PF series, you will be shocked on how many they throw away all their expensive branded product after got their hand on PF earphone.

listening to: "slow" song like country, folk, soft rock; ladygaga-type proof, no hard rock; rap, i pay much attention in the lyric of the songs.

can heaven IV satisfied my needs?

i rather pay for quality than branding, is fad value for money?

thanks for the advice..
*
If you love to involve with your music instead of how the earphone can produce the sound, get the heaven IV.
It is not by far the best detail, amazing mid etc... it is colored in my opinion, get adagio V if you want a detail and clean listening, Heavin IV is for people who don't give a shit about "earphone suppose to sound like this" theory, it just give you relax and enjoyment.

itu gua ada tanya dekat dalam. muppetface jua ada beri cadangan.
tapi, VIII or IX?
It seriously lack the involving treble and can hardly sense bass presence. My Bon Jovi really sux le  rclxub.gif
But vocals  brows.gif  rclxms.gif  icon_idea.gif  rclxm9.gif

So, I'm not sure how I should choose liao. Hmmm.

Depends on your music listening habbit, be frank PFVIII can do some trance, fast music, but dont expect it will be huge impact like certain headphone in the market, they treat all sort of music nicely, not harsh, impactful or bassy. That's why you might felt weird.

haha if there is one which has both feel and accuracy then count me in!!
i'm still half regretting if i should have gone for the SE535 or Heaven VI. Feels like it'll be a bigger step up compared to the Heaven S i bought >_<
*
You guys should try the latest Heaven VI, grabbed one immediately after i tried for 30mins, maybe i'm a FAD sucker biggrin.gif.

The signature is same with Heaven series, however with much control treble, smoother + musical mid frequency, and deep bass.

I agree that fAd has an artificial treble ...
I tried heaven c n I realize that too...
*
I rather call it "colored" instead of "artificial", as everyone has their own set of reference about "neutral" or "natural" sound, to me, even Westone 4 and Shure SE535 are colored in certain spectrum.

It doesn't mean the headphone will perform badly because of "color" signature, in another way, it sounded fun to my ears, everything is about personal preference.

yes, i noticed that too =)
The vocals are especially impressive, forward, detailed with clarity yet musical at the same time. Although i don't think it's considered flat or neutral since i've seen someone posted the graphs and omg, it's so wild and whacky lol. But surprisingly it still sounds natural... FAD magical signature? haha

Yeap, never use Final Audio earphones for measurement, they will look crap inside the graph frequency respond. Your ears will be the best judgement =)

The reason you might feel it is V shape, i believe because the mid range of Heaven's presented in thinner sound, comparing against Westone or Shure series.

It had not emphasize on that particular frequency range, but to flat out all range in similar zone, so you won't feel any outstanding in mid especially.

Stole this from Jaben Malaysia KLAV2013 show, too bad i didnt take any photos during the show, busy trying the latest Heaven V and Pandora series.

Both Pandora gave me a shrill feeling, the Hope 4 provides very strong characteristic in mid range, Hope 6 has the most natural and balance sounding.

Have owned Final Audio Design Heaven VI CG for few months already.
Any suggestion for setup since I use it mainly on my android phone. Non of my DACs compatible with galaxy note 2.
*
You can try to install some software which supports DAC,
I'm using OTG cable to use with my portable DAC together + Note 2

May I know how is Adagio 4 compared with Adagio2? I've tried Adagio 3 before it's so different compared to Adagio 2! Personally think that Adagio 2 is better than Adagio 3
*
Do you mean adagio V?
Adagio V is total different compare with 2,3. It is much cleaner, brighter, more on a detail earphone with decent light bass signature.
