There's definitely going to be grey imports haha. The source that posted that picture online used to grey import the korean HD variants of the S2 before and even imported the HTC One XL from korea.

It looks like photoshopped.

There's only one thing confirmed about Galaxy S3 Korean version :  Galaxy S3 3G version will be released only for SK telecom(one of the three carriers in korea), and Galaxy S3 LTE Version will be released for all three carriers later. No official launching date and No pre-order till now.
It's unknown till now that which CPU (Exynos 4412 or Snapdragon S4) or how much RAM(1G or 2G) will be embedded on Galaxy S3 LTE Korean version, but there's a rumor, according to some newspaper (in korean), that LTE Korean version will have Exynos 4412 + LTE Chip + 2G Ram.
*
Well they said they had a source, that pic is definitely not up to scale and PSed but who knows, the site posted it belongs to a website that is kinda famous in Aussie that have imported lots of phones from korea.

Need your guys opinion, shall I go ahead with 16gb S3?Does it make a lot of differences for 32gb?i really confuse. Can advise me?
*
It really depends on the person. You can definitely put more apps in with the 32gb or live enough without a micro sd with teh 32gb version but most people would have more than enough with the 16gb with some kind of micro sd card.

Should also note that you don't get 16gb with the internal storage, you only get around 11gb

That is standard 11GB too for SGS II, Galaxy Note. 2 GB hidden partition, 3 GB system files and balance 11 GB for user
*
Well the system is taking more here.
In the SII you get around 11GB to use as you please and around 2GB as an app partition. Here you get around 11GB both for apps and any other stuff you want to put in. There's no separate app partition in the SIII. Just wanted to make people aware of that =)

from the verge's review, it seems samsung place the NFC chip inside the battery...
btw what's the cheapest price for class 10 64gb microsd now. i search gs and its like around rm300, for sandisk brand
*
I don't think there is a class 10 64gb micro sdxc. Sandisk's is a class 6. Anyway here's a good price I guess
http://www.ebay.com.my/itm/SanDisk-Micro-S...=item4ab7aa464f

If you want a 32gb micro sdhc. Samsung's Class Micro sd is very good.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SAMSUNG-CLASS-1...=item1e6d7aa6de

Buying from those countries takes just a short while to get here and great prices.

There is a class 10 Sandisk 64 GB micro sdxc - I am using it in my G Note now. Bought it from garage sales lowyat - look for seller marcus20125
*
ah ok, so they are UHS Class 1 which gives equivalent write speeds to class 10.
Bought one recently to prepare for the SIII and was wondering why the write speed was around 11mb when I tested it with H2tesw. Didn't realize that haha, thought it was the same as my old one which is class 6 and is in my tablet.
Bought it around 75 dollars online recently.

Btw.. since this is my first android.... wanna know does the saving of apps goes to mass memory and not the phone memory which is usually smaller??? Symbian can save into different memory and maemo cant really do that.... so android can??
*
QUOTE(firstknight @ May 26 2012, 12:57 PM)
I am not talking bout memory... I am talking bout storage... usually from my symbian, maemo and even w800 storage is divided into 2 or 3... one is for phone main storage like system partition (usually very small and limited) and the other is just for storage like all your music movies files etc.... the 3rd one would be your sdcards....

So will application stored in the main system partition or the bigger partition in the biggger partition... or ou can choose to even install app in the SDcard??
*
Usually, in older android phones and in some newer phones which chooses to use the old format (like the HTC One X) the internal memory is split into a small system partition where apps are installed (though some apps can be moved from there while some can't) and another user accessible partition where you can put anything you want and also where data for some bigger apps like HD games are stored (the game (which is small) is installed in the app partition but the main data of some of those could be like 500mb and stored in the huge partition).

Now let's talk in about the S3. Google wants ICS devices to only have one partition for everything (though manufacturers are free to choose what they want to do) but the S3 follows this convention in which there is only one partition of internal memory so there is a huge space for apps unlike previously where there was only a small bit of internal memory eg. 2gb or lower for apps. For the 16gb version, you have access to about 11.5gb of space to put apps and anything you please. Then there's also the micro sd which varies depending on what you choose, you can move certain apps to the sd card though not all as some needs to stay in the internal storage to work. The S3 supports a micro SD card up to 64gb.

i read somewhere that the wireless charging only available in Sept? is that come with free or need to purchase.

tks
*
Yup, apparently not ready yet so being pushed back, it needs to be purchased separately and will cost something around 120 dollars or so, not really worth it in my opinion.
It'll come with the wireless charging kit and a different back cover for the S3.

Why not?
Just buy the 16gb microsd. DUH!

obviously because having 32gb of internal memory and adding a 16gb micro sd to a phone is not the same

S III- Gorilla glass 2
One X- Gorilla glass 1

Both gorilla glass has the same strength though but the Gorilla Glass 2 is 20% thinner.

Erm, nope. One X is also using Corning Gorilla Glass 2  blush.gif

Nop, the One X uses the original corning gorilla glass and not gorilla glass 2

this video is good but if i m HTC i sure will not hapoy.. buying my highest end product to usr it as a hammer testing..feel like being insulted...
*
Well it says in the youtube video that it's performed in the HTC lab so I'd think it's them doing it. If I'm HTC, I don't care what people do with the phone as long as they buy it.

If this was some random guy doing it, I'd be happier since they spend their money buy my product, then do video show how tough my product is = free marketing.

After days of hestitation, asking and researching, I finally got an answer. Before I will getting pebble blue version. Now, I will getting white version. Let me summarize something.

White S3 front look better than blue version.
Blue S3 back look better than white version.

In everyday usage, we will actually look the phone front more often than the back. Even though back cover of blue look nicer, but we(most of us) will actually put a case on it. Therefore, I properly will choose White version. Of course, I have to check the phone first on 28/5 in lowyat event. Each colour has pro and con on S3, I hope this can help to end some of your hesitation.
*
Well in my opinion, I'd like the blue front because the colour is darker and it'll look good alongside the deep blacks of the AMOLED screen.

of course this is my opinion and it'll differ from yours =)

Just wanna put a useful software for you guys to try out after hunting for a micro sd.
http://androidforums.com/gome-flytouch-3/3...ash-drives.html

Basically just to make sure you don't get a fake or faulty micro sd =)
It'll write to the card until the card is full then verify the data and when it's done will tell you whether there's any problem and it'll give you the average write speed as well.

somehow i dont entirely believe that "owner". we have seen HOX, SG1,SG2 survive so many drop test.

and where is that "owner" come from? UK already start selling?  unsure.gif
*
UK start selling tomorrow. It's already out in dubai though.

Though becoming like that by just a drop seems weird. Either that guy is very unlucky or he's lying. I'll give the benefit of the doubt and say he's very unlucky.

Anyway people should know by now, gorilla glass is not scratch proof or indestructible. They are just a lot tougher than average glass.
