Subang 3K swimming pool now has locker! However it is very limited, I think it need two 50cents coins to use per time. If I remember correctly got about 9 of them.
But today I did not see anyone using it so probably still will be enough.

Today train water treading with breast stroke kick. I think I manage to do it for 10 seconds. In this 10 seconds it almost cause my butt to cramp. My target is 10 minutes for diving certification requirement. Long way to go.

The egg beater treading method still unable to master. My legs look handicapped when doing this egg beater.

Discover one thing today when swimming breast stroke. If I exhale air slowly and just before the moment I want to rise my head to take a breath, I exhale rapidly to empty the lung, i find myself able to float better and can swim more relax. Previously I always exhale at a constant rate but quite fast, and I realize after a short distance I will feel like I do not breath in enough air. I think today breast stroke is my best swimming experience so far.
*
Yes, brother. The first thing must learn before learning swimming skill is learning how to exhale constantly. Actually, from what I learn is call leaking air out (*not to hold your air), not blow air out. Try open your mouth in water when doing exhaling, this will help you can't hold the air in your lung. You can have a look at youtube below, but sorry about it is in chinese words.

Went to 3K Subang Swimming Pool yesterday night... Overall, these are my thoughts:

1. Water are much cleaner...
2. The floor is still slippery as it was (slipped slightly on my way to changing room even though I walk very very slowly)...
3. Pool floor was not well maintained at deeper area (noticed a lot of dirt/residue while swimming over)...
4. Water can be very cold during rainy days...
5. It doesn't seems to be that crowded (acceptable for me) until DSA lessons starts...

I guess I might come back more regularly provided that it is not raining on that day  sweat.gif

My god, they still not fix that slip problem. shakehead.gif

Great. The problem with my freestyle is that both my arms are not symmetrical and my body is not streamlined. Any tips on this?
*
Bro, it is hard to give suggestions without video. But usually both arms not symmetrical is because of one side breathing, you can do practice on bilaterally breathing.

For body not streamlined, you can practice on skating drills. Do it left hand then right hand. You can refer from YouTube below:

QUOTE(chinti @ Dec 15 2016, 01:03 PM)
hey guys, i wanna ask...how can i learn freestyle or backstroke? i can do breaststroke but whenever i try freestyle, my butt and leg will sink...same as backstroke...any idea to stay float?
*
Hi, there. Sinking leg is the most common issue for freestyle swimming, you can have a look video below to grab some idea.

From my humble advice will asking you to hire a good coach to teach you freestyle swimming. Not to say can't self coaching, but it is very hard to succeed.

I jump the swim class & learn from nothing since August 2015, I really put huge effort to practice. Until today I still got a lot of mistake need to correct, the point is self awareness. I must take the self under / above swim video, and send to my coach for asking opinion. Then know what to do to correct it at next time practice.

Swimming is a muscle memory exercise. So, we must do the it correct before it become a bad habit. Anyway, wish you swim happy. smile.gif

It take times to master freestyle, & you need to have a good instructor to guide you. Last time i almost gave up on this stroke....  blush.gif

Beside of good instructor, also need put times to practice it. I usually spend 3 - 4 days a week, each time spend around 2 hours to practice.

so the skate drill is for breathing drill as well?

i still have trouble for my breathing.  sad.gif
*
Yes, brother. You can use this skate drill as a breathing drill, but not easy to done it. Before breathing must check 3 things - Head, Neck, Spine, make sure it is enough relax & in one line. If you can practice more on this point, I'm sure it will help you breathing more easily. thumbsup.gif

Hm.... If like this, you can try invest a pair of fins. It will help you do a lot of drill too, just remember to take it off when doing full stroke swim. Do not rely it doing full stroke swim. smile.gif

*
Brother, here is my personal opinion. Must test swim after you buy the new goggles, test around 2, 3 days. You still can exchange between 7 days from date of purchase if it really not suitable for you.

By the way, I'm using the same goggles. It is ok for me, biggrin.gif
