Anybody heard of WiDi (intel wireless display) before?
Can you lead me to which part of the forum that discusses this (& where to buy the adapters?) Thanks |

Why dont you reduce the resolution a bit... At least when you are doing long hours of typing...
Also, do have any BSOD problem? Does your system detect AMD 7730M as the main GPU in your dxdiag? |

QUOTE(panafone @ Jul 31 2012, 03:42 PM) Can you run the window experience index and share with us the score? Tried any games? How's the graphic? Any problem so far? No BSOD problems with your 15R SE? (I hope not!) |

QUOTE(panafone @ Jul 31 2012, 05:40 PM) Been using it for a while now. Updating drivers and windows update. No BSOD so far (touch wood). Here's the Windows Experience Index: NICE! But roo bad the WEI only detects the intel chipset as GPU, hence the 5.6! In reality i thinks it a bit higher... Did you take the 15R with 1TB + 32GB SSD or just the 1TB? However, it's Good to know that dell has overcome the BSOD issue! |

QUOTE(danleongwz @ Aug 1 2012, 09:38 AM) Ya, for the 14R SE, its using NVIDIA. It has a better switching programe than AMD. Also you can even set the NVIDIA as "primary" in its control panel but overall, both are almost the same in performance with NVIDIA Anyway, i had to go for the 15R SE because it is has the msata SSD 32GB BTW, hows your gaming experience with it? I've recieved my 15R SE, GOOD NEWS... NO PROLEM what so ever...
No BSOD, no graphic card problems, no overheating(play for hours pun ok!).. I guess dell have sorted it out... I've tried a few games... All games in 1280x720 high setting+AAx2 are smoooooth as a, well smoothie...! (eg: batman Arkhim asylum & city, crysis 1&2, Street fighter x tekken, Princof persia, starcraft 2) All within FRP of >60 If FHD, 1920x1080 must sacrifice AA and some game require medium setting... For a similar FRP and smootheness... |

QUOTE(spark135 @ Aug 8 2012, 12:41 PM) i quoted this from dell.com/my When is this comment posted in dell?"the specs were impressive, audio and video quality is satisfactory, love the large storage space and processor. that was until I faced a problem with the wireless connection. one day I switched on the laptop and my wireless connection was "limited access" so I tried repairing it and I got the BSOD. ever since then I am faced with problems with my wireless connection. I sometimes get the BSOD while troubleshooting, other times I would get the "local area connection" adapter is not working properly, sometimes I would get the "local area connection" is experiencing driver/hardware related problem. this problem is a great hindrance for me as a student as I need the internet for practically every other thing. I hope Dell can help resolve this matter." anyone care to explain this to me ? planning on getting one of these.. Because last 1-2 months ago, a lot of those 15R SE in US and Europe had problems, especially with BSOD and GPU. But the latest(these few weeks ago) production of 15R SE had no problems... at least this is what I am experiencing! I got mine for 6 days already... played games(batman, crysis, fifa12,etc) with no problems... connected to my wifi at home with no problems... watching movies with no problems... and using MS office 2013 preview with no problem and at exceptional SPEED!!! Hi, anybody has any idea how to install ubuntu 12.10 to dual boot with window7 on 15R SE(with 32gb ssd cache)? I tried installing using wubi but when I choose ubuntu from the dual boot menu it says "root.disk does not exist". But my window7 is working fine.
I think it has something to do with the 32gb cache msata, ive tried disabling the 32gb cache (in intel rapid storage technology) before install but it doesnt seem to work... I have not change the BIOS setting because many people say it causes BSOD if change from RAID to other sata settings Anyone can help? |
