Finally put in an order for the 15R.... temptation was just too great for the value for paying the price for such a good spec (not great, but pretty good for its price).

Some people have said because the speaker is located UNDER the laptop, that sound is pretty rubbish.

Well, just try not to expect too much from budget-line laptops laugh.gif
Get a pair of external speakers if sound  quality is important for you... any cheap ones will be able to pawn laptop speakers  tongue.gif

Yeap. I agree.

Some people on an Australian forum said they've experience BSOD when gaming, anyone here have the same fate? hmm.gif

Okay, so does it mean that the 32GB is just something like RAM, I can't use it to store files?
Sigh, I understand how you feel too.  sad.gif But I'm leaving to study at Australia soon and don't have the time do return and get a new one or something.
*
ahhaha... I'm the opposite of you... I'm in australia and going back soon... lol... tongue.gif

But I was quite surprised when I saw the Y580...

Wait,i thought it;s supposed to be pretty decent? the speakers. It's by Skull Candy yes? and i've heard positive comments about it.
*
I'm pretty particular about sound quality - im no expert or an audiophile by any means... but i appreciate a good sound...

Because the speakers are located under the laptop (not directly under of course), the sound reflects of the surface you are putting your laptop on and you can sense that little bit of echo-ish sound to it and sometimes it sounds muffled.

Get better speakers or subwoofers. Like Asus N series subwoofers  brows.gif

A simple 2.1 would suffice.

Before this I was using the Acer 6920G with 'Dolby' sound system and I must say apart from the minor crackling sound after 4 years... its actually pretty damn good.

anyone with 15r se ahs bsod problem? so far only 14r se got bsod prob??

there are some people with BSOD problems on 15r se...

but probably those who order later will not have because dell would have more time to get the proper drivers and updates.
