QUOTE(dares @ May 21 2012, 06:29 PM) Hahaha true. Technically my client is his company, he's the person I deal with. Bought a used Accord at RM80k for his high school son last year typical mentality of a fixed income white collar worker. It was due to them fighting and chasing after positions in the company and when they are earning RM5-9k per month they have HUGEEEEE EGO, and they somehow have the tendency to pick on low income earners to "show off" and at the same time belittle them. And the quick way to know one is low income or not is by asking them what car they drives. Added on May 21, 2012, 6:38 pmBig bosses however always act on the contrary. They will always tell you no money no money, this and that then at the end of the yum cha and chit chat, he will tell you he will be willing to pay 5-6 figure amount for the plan. Make me go OMG??? QUOTE(kongjong @ May 22 2012, 12:11 PM) i stay in a taman got a little hill up and down whenever i enter and exit the taman. 1. so the CVT will roar as the rpm rise when down sloping, right? is the cvt in proton acts the same way to those cvt in foreign car? (no offence, simply asking here). 2. will the SAT helps for a less roaring since is running regular auto transmission? 1. Yes, once the slope/hill recognition mode sense a gradient, it will automatically shorten the ratio and apply engine braking during downhill. It is more harsh than CVT in foreign car due to the clutch based system. Not as smooth as those using torque converter or toroidal CVT. 2. same. It will still stay at 2,500rpm. So, you get the same ROARRRRING no matter SAT is on or off.

QUOTE(kongjong @ May 22 2012, 04:43 PM) perhaps, cvt or auto is not suitable to be used in my living area. somemore, roaring rpm = fuel exhausting during engine braking, the ECU actually cut off fuel supply to the engine and the engine is running on lean mode.

a lot of factors contributing to FC, not only on foot nor high rpm. It depends on the road condition, road gradient, road traffic, humidity, air density, air temperature, engine displacement, type of engine oil used, engine condition, tires (type, width, diameter), tires condition, COD (co-efficient of drag), vehicle weight and total volume in the cabin (weight of occupant/cargo). All these plays a role too in addition to "right foot" and rpm.

QUOTE(lhwj @ May 22 2012, 06:53 PM) What about CVT and 4 speed auto? same foot off throttle, TCU senses a downhill slope downshift to the most appropriate lowest gear (4AT) or TCU shrink the ratio (CVT), ECU cuts fuel to the engine, engine in lean mode. Can only hear engine humming, but actually exhaust has no sound (since no fuel or little fuel = no or little combustion) This post has been edited by V12Kompressor: May 22 2012, 06:57 PM

QUOTE(lhwj @ May 22 2012, 07:08 PM) In that case, the exhaust will be emitting clean air, right? Since there's no combustion, the engine is just sucking in air and pumping it out again through the exhaust. Wait, the throttle is almost closed completely while coasting. So not very much air really. indeed. thats why the exhaust is silent (if pasang exhaust PRANG PRAAAANG) when going downhill. QUOTE(zukjka @ May 22 2012, 07:13 PM) I didn't see any significant different before 1k service and after 1k service on my.RM50 can only get me merely 230km~250km or is there any way can be twist to increase? the difference wont be significant. You'll have to wait for the 2nd and 3rd service then you'll get to see the difference after each service. QUOTE(kenjilew @ May 22 2012, 07:16 PM) oh yea ! wash throttle body got help for FC kah ? lols... my FC gone worst to even worst... now trying all ways to improve back FC... "engine condition"

QUOTE(lhwj @ May 22 2012, 08:57 PM) Eh but when coasting downhill there's no combustion, so the only heat produced is from compressing the air. Will that overheat the gasket? You're really entertaining as usual when engine running lean, no matter what is the condition, it will produce extra amount of heat. So, yes. prolonged lean burning will damage the engine.

QUOTE(lhwj @ May 23 2012, 01:35 PM) I think for my driving style, I'd take diesel's high torque any time. Yes I'm aware of diesel's amazing fuel economy, and I wished we'd get Euro 4 ASAP so that we can import those awesome diesel models from Europe. Seen some car reviews in Autocar, some diesel cars can easily do 1,000+ km on one tank. There is one in the country The Ford Focus TDCi
