Guys, noticed one thing while checking the F/A-18 Super Hornet... check yours to see if you have it as well...
The decal of the US emblem with the red lightning on the side of the plane just under the cockpit, is inverted with 2 points of the white star pointing upwards. It's supposed to be one point pointing upwards. I took 2 sets of these from the same F/A-18 Allscript box, and both are having the same defect. It's the same inverted US emblem on the underside of the wings. I think it's the whole box that is affected!!!
BTW, I checked photos in the last few pages of this forum for the F/A-18 just to confirm on this.

My wife says Amercom must anti-American or something like that.. Even commented that the reverse star is actually a symbol of Satan, although actually it is the reversed pentagram, with lines running inside the reversed star...

This is ticking me off.... I'm gonna call vathi tomorrow and ask her if I/we can get this replaced. Just don't know whether office is open tomorrow or not. If not, then it's on Monday....

And I was thinking of upgrading to Century Wings and the sort. Nice detailed planes from what i can see in the forum. Still may want to consider it...

It's not only the F/A-18, one starfighter is also missing a wheel cover as well. And one of the p-51 suddenly dropped both it's pectoral fins...

Kinda made the mistake of swiping my credit card for 2 set for the whole collection.
I plan to present one set to my dad. He's into this diecast model planes ever since that Air Combat collection he bought a couple of years back.

And the fighter aircraft collection will last 48 issues, like the Australian version...

Think I just leave the FAC subscription alone. Change to collect at the office instead. Should eliminate all the defective planes arriving to my home...

Noted again will be 48 issues, 2 more than the Australian version. Surveyed through the Australian version and roughly are these... Not necessary in this order....

Guys, just to share a site I found on the Internet.
They discuss about the aircrafts as well as give comparison with other manufacturers where possible. I like especially the summarized review on the planes up till issue 40. They're on page 18...

BTW, issue 10 Starfighter is out in your local bookstores...Check properly. Mine has one u/c wheel cover missing...

If the response is favourable as per the case in UK, they might continue adding on issues. UK is now on issue no.59 and still going...
So it will all depends on whether we continue giving strong support for this collection, or not...

Went to Allscript on Thursday for any updates. Non. One new bugger in the office announced new issues had arrived..

But managed to exchange my 2 F/A-18s (with the 2 inverted USA decals) and get a wheel cover from one of the returned starfighters. Noticeably, there is a lot of returned aircrafts with many of them suffer from lousy workmanship (put bluntly).
However, if you check your purchases properly, most can be very good examples, but I don't mean accurate replicates.
The new issues are coming, so I've been informed. Just need to wait...

Also on the side note, the giant warplanes / bombers collection will depend heavily on the response of the existing fighter aircraft collection. And mind you the existing fighter aircraft collection was brought in because of the sold out demand for the air combat collection... (I am still missing issue 29 and 32 even after subscribing to the collection....).
If this goes sour, I think we will probably not be seeing anymore of these collections coming to our shores anytime in the future...

Surprisingly when I was there, there was still at least 2 boxes of F/A-18s in pristine condition still sitting in the office. Makes me wonder whether was it preparing to go out on sale or failed to make any sales at all.

No one picking up the lines. Finally made the decision to visit the office. No one there?!

It took FAC UK nearly 2 and a half years to complete their series of 60 issues. Just need to be patient only. They just finished the series last December and starting on the Amercom helicopter series. Heard rumours about the flying fortresses starting as well but could not find any forums to confirm it.

I just went to the office last week and the chinese girl did not notify me of any binders to collect also. Got my copies of the zero and me262s. For me, the zero has much better finish than the me262. Very rough with scratches and messy paintings.... And yes, the antennae loop is broken and needs fixing... Cannot see it over the plastic covers...

However the zero is clean, precise, and beautiful.

Anyone can comment on the Tornado? I heard from other forums it's really really dreadful... I look through some pictures that I could find off the internet and it looks identical to the Air Combat version (Italeria/GE Fabbri).

Look at your Meteors carefully, guys, it's missing the main undercarriage doors! Not sure whether all meteors are affected or not. You can see the front but not the 2 back wheels through the plastic. My advice, bring a torchlight when you go get the model...

BTW, the Tornado is REALLY CRAP! Even Air Combat really does it better. There are plastic bits sticking out everywhere and the gaps between the panels are so big I can see through the plane! The u/c glue is smearing everywhere. A lot of work will be needed to rectify this one...
