Happy I found the Polish variant for the Mig-21 Fishbed with the sailfish decals at The Curve today in MPH. Still got 6 of them left... Looked all over Kepong and they only had the German variant. The latest issue at the Newstand is still the F-16 Fighting Falcon. Small and light little bugger.

Yeah, the plastic they they use is the rigid type, so will snap easily and is not flexible to bend. If you insist on bending the plastic, soak it in hot water to soften it. Then hold it until it cools down to keep the shape. Don't use the hot air blower as it is too hot and will shrink the plastic further. That what I've learned from mending these Amercom models...

I totally agree with you. Previously when Allscript brought in The Air Combat Mags with the plane models, they were from GE Fabbri (at that time). Full metal diecast except for the propellers, fuel tanks, bombs, missiles, pitot tubes and antennas, which where plastic. And that was even the good quality flexible plastics. The price was cheap too. I bought the whole set of 32 issues for 6.90 each.

Thats why you can imagine my disappointment when Amercom is charging at RM30 per issue and at such dismal quality and detail....

Still thinking hard whether to continue with the chopper series... Do you think it is better and properly done than the fighter aircraft series or should I just forget about it and give it a pass?

Well, Allscript still sucks after all this time. They still haven't changed one bit. Still thinking of making fast cash and not taking care of all their retail clients nor any of us. Just happy to see us come to the office and throw cash at their face!

Went to check on Allscript yesterday, and guess what I found out? F-14 seem to be already sold out, Stuka is no more and A-10 bye bye already. You won't see those in the retails anymore. The unpopular ones after that are still available though, and that you will see in the retail stores... Boring and I am stoping FAC now!

Asked them why, couldn't give me an answer, so I gave them my version of their answer would be like, and a piece of my mind. What an utterly waste of my time collecting this when I can't even get the popular air crafts. You pre-booked and prepaid also no use...

We are being treated like a 3rd world country here, being dumped with what's leftover and what ever they no longer want. That's why they brought in the helis, because they utterly sucked in overseas market.

Haiyah, where got time to everyday go and visit Allscript.... If like that I don't have to subscribe already, just go every week and yam cha with vathi....

Yup, that's what I thought. Nothing good is coming out of everyone's mouth....
