Act 3 Hell farming, tried it out, not too bad (like 240-250k/hour). Any better farming spots for gold that you guys know of?

choose your skills properly and should have no problem la. In my GoldFind gear I have 300resist, 25khp, 6kdps, can faceroll act3 with 0% chance of dying (I farm fields --> bridge --> siegebreaker --> arreat crater in 20-odd minutes).

I can't figure out what the aggro behavior is in this game. I play mostly duo with my fiancee (wizard). for the most part, I'm able to keep most mobs attacking me. Some mobs might stray for a bit but running up to them and whacking them seems to work.

but occasionaly I'll get some elites that just will NOT turn to me, even tho I'm whacking them from the back while they chase the wiz who is running in circles not doing dps. dafuq?

Go AH and see lor. Dagger I never see 4-digit, but swords and fists got tons of 1k's.

Was in act2 underground in the sewers. Got one champion pack Frozen Waller Jailer Desecrator. DAFUQ, 3/4 the time I was just standing in fire cos either jailed or frozen, or kena wall and cannot run out (narrow corridors + waller = )

I think I corpse-ran like 5 times before I killed it

"Scheduled" maintenance 2pm-4pm our time.

Fought my way to act 2 part 7 (where you have to go underground to find Kuule's blood), after spending 19k on repairs taking down 3 elite packs and getting stuck on the 4th I threw in the towel. Gonna take a break from monk, just do light farming til 1.03 comes.

Life Steal is nerfed to 20% of the amount in Inferno, so it sucks no matter how you look at it.

e.g. 3% life steal, 20,000 hit = 20,000 x 3% x 20% = 120 health.

some aoe is quite harmless with 600-700 resist e.g. the plagued poison AOE can stand in it quite long.

some aoe gotta avoid no matter what. arcane enchanted, molten, desecrator, all these damn pain even with 700 resist.

In the datamined 1.03, seems like increased attack speed gear, IAS going to be nerfed to 40-50% of original values ... time to sell off all our IAS gear before their value drops?

at first i got murdered even stepping foot into act2. after farm a bit and upgrade gear, now can quite comfortably 5 NV Magda runs. But once 2nd half of Act2 when hunting Kuule's body parts, DAFUQ mang, seriously most elites still cannot fight them without getting frustrated or kiting all over the map

Bump your resistance. At ~600 resist and ~6k armor you should be able to quite comfortably fight til Magda.

Past Magda is a different story, though

With those figures I'd love to hear how you deal with any elite with molten, desecrator, plagued or fire chain. I've got almost triple your effective HP and even then, one small mistake of letting a bunch of fire-chained elites surround me can drop me dead in a couple seconds if bubble isn't up.

I used to farm hell act 3 in GF gear - start at siegebreaker but run backwards on the bridge, get 5 NV then siegebreaker --> arreat crater lvl1. With 200% base GF, was pulling in 250-300k/hour.

The problem is that gold has inflated so much, 300k now can hardly get you anything decent.

After a TON of headache and frustration killing, or (mostly) getting killed by elites, finally ... OH YEAH!



Some of the elites were actually quite OK. Like this pack with harmless affixes that I just stood there tanking from full health to zero.



But mostly the elites were just so f*cking annoying. I'm all for a challenge, but when an elite fly swarm hits you (normal hits) for 8k each, vortexes you in the middle of a couple of arcane enchant swirlies, AND jails you there, it just makes you go like DAFUQ, why don't you just give an "instant kill" skill to your elites, blizzard?!?

For any of you shopping for a nice dagger, there's a leet one in GAH that I want but don't have the money to buy.
