Not every car will have a sluggish start. Some have experienced the car being okay at the get-go. Depends if you've gotten the car that has been "recalibrated" or not.

Also, I feel that I should comment on you getting the Forte. I too, have considered the car. However, upon inspecting the interior...I felt that I couldn't live with it. Since I'll be looking at the interior more than the exterior, I had to like it enough to be able to live with it. Then again, this is subjective to the individual.

In terms of specs, it's about the same - with the Forte costing more. Give the Preve a few months and all the problems should iron itself out. I'm sure the Forte had some issues during it's initial launch as well - this happens to any manufacturer.

It's still personal preference though - if it's the badge and perceived "status" that you're looking for, the Forte is definitely for you. It's a Korean after all.

Considered both. Went with Preve. Considered the Forte again. Still stayed with the Preve.

Aesthetics is a very subjective thing though. So if you feel that the interior is ok, then go for the Forte. It's a good car, priced well enough for an import, and has been in the market long enough for the problems to be ironed out.

I personally don't like how it looks. The centre console that is. Everything else seems fine. I'd strongly suggest test driving a Preve with a re-mapped ECU and then test driving the 1.6SX.

Would give you a better indicator of which car performs to your liking.

there is some catch on the service schedule on cars provided earlier. For example, forte used fully syn engine oil for every service, hence srvice interval is longer, every 10k km, while all prtns are using mineral@sem syn oil hence 5k service interval. For persona, waja, saga n campro based engine, 5k service is only needed if using mineral@semi syn oil, n 3 free labour service only for 1k, 5k n 10k, n after 10k service, can use fully syn same as forte service schedule to prolong service for every 10k per change. Not 5k, and the cost will be nearly the same as forte if using fully syn, 10k service period for 5 years.

For cfe n iafm+, the service is a bit cheaper than other campro variant coz diff gear box oil change interval, diff timing belt change interval, n diff cost of gearbox oil n timing change kit.

About other manufacturers, no comment since dunno how they operated. Hope everybody clear on the table n dont jump to conclusion without understand it. Some wear n tear parts are varied in term of change interval such as brake pads coz ot depends on usage. Some can last up more than 100k km the pads without change.

sorry saya dhuang coz i dont have any contact on the assembly line, n also none on pesb n eon coz they are the one doing the distribution. But already raised concern to my source on that, hence many entity involve, but on my source parts, they already do their best cconveying the message.

Izputra, u can get the cost by downloading the service cost n schedule from prtn edar websites. Need also to check on engine oil price coz in prtn they only quoted semi syn, coz since the fully syn oil prices are varied, some the oil only already cost u 300++.

Dunno about forte maintenance price already including the oil price coz generally standard fully syn oil already cost u rm 200, whethe shell, mobil, esson petronas n etc.

While you guys are still waiting for the stock to arrive, i got 1 customer called to the bank directly to cancel the loan, when the car is already here with us and done all the process.
He has also blocked my office number and also my HP, i can't call through him to ask him why.
Agreement has signed, loan amount has disbursed to our company already and now bank and us are having hard time as the amount has paid, and they are unable to cancel the loan.

And he's one of the forummer here.

I am disappointed, if you plan to cancel the purchase, you should have call me and discuss with me straight, and i'm ok with it.

Not just call to the bank cancel loan and block all my number.

LoL, your arguement is invalid, there are many factors that can cause the car to turn turtle regardless of it's weight or stability, it's not the lowest center of gravity car as we speak.

I've seen a 350z turned turtle, if the owner is reckless, even a tank can turn turtle
