Ask them to auto-fold when arming-disarming the alarm la, like the Fiesta.

You mean by lock-unlock the car ? I think, sometimes we unlock the car just to open the door or boot and not for driving. If the side mirror fold and un-fold everytime we lock-unlock the car, there will be extra stress to the motor mechanism in the side mirror. The best I think to fold when locking the car and to un-fold when starting the engine or inserting the key (if Proton concern about the reliability of the motor).

My opinion is that proton should keep it as it is cuz for example when i want to reverse out of my parking lot its very narrow and i have to keep them folded. if your suggestion is the mirror unfold when start the engine means that in my case i have to fold them back again to reverse

that's why proton chose to make it open after 5km/h and give us the chance to also fold unfold ourselves manually.

i think proton did their thinking smile.gif

The side mirror is not folded when you enter the narrow parking space. It will automatically fold when you lock the car. If you can enter the narrow parking space with un-folded side mirror, why you need the side mirror to be folded when you want to reverse ? Unless you have to fold the mirror (by pressing the button) before entering the narrow parking space.

The need to fold the side mirror before entering parking means you can't go out from the car.

No lah, its only the point of entry is narrow cuz of the wall after im inside the lot then ok can go out or unfold. thats why if unfold when starting the engin will not help me cuz i need to fold again to get out

complicated  rclxub.gif

Ohh okay... now I understand. The point of entry is narrow but once inside, its okay. Hmm... in that case, if you can fold the mirror by pressing the button, perhaps you can do the same when going out brows.gif

My first full tank petrol last 460KM before the fuel indicator popup. The remaining fuel distance is 60KM.

This is combined driving including Bangi-Melaka highway travel on Friday.

Driving style: fuel economy style except on the highway...driving with the speed of 150 km/h + paddle shifters.

Now, let see my second full tank.

How is it compared to your old merc in jams? I want a comfortable car to go thru jams.
*
In terms of fuel consumption, the merc is higher due to bigger engine. I believe the preve fuel consumption will get better after higher mileage.

The merc fuel consumption in mixed condition about 11-12L/100km and on highway about 9 to 10L/100km.

I notice-ed my prevé rear fog light is quite bright when turned on at night. Is it same with u guys?

Worry if hurting other drivers eye behind..... dry.gif  unsure.gif  unsure.gif  unsure.gif

The fog light is meant to be very bright as it is used for foggy/snowy and heavy rain condition where viewing distance is very limited. It should not be used during normal day.

What about comfort factor?
*
The merc engine is quieter compared to Preve but not that much. Now after almost 1 week, I feel the preve engine is getting quieter than before.

In terms of driving comfort, hmm its a bit difficult. I like preve suspension more than the merc.

In terms of pick-up/acceleration, the merc is a bit better. However, even for the merc if you hard press the pedal, it will take about 1 second to response. That is the reason why sometimes when overtaking, I built the momentum first by creating a gap with the front car before hard press the pedal to overtake.

I don't think Preve can have a very good FC cause it's quite a heavy car. Besides that the traffic condition and also individual driving style will affect the overall FC also.
*
Let see after several month. As of now, looking at the instant fuel consumption, it seems the car has potential to have better FC. You can use the instant fuel consumption to improve your driving style towards better FC.

not led lights lad but headlights  tongue.gif .. and its 30 seconds..the function is when u go back home n the porch is dark..the light will ease u to open the door instead of fumbling the door knob in the dark..to use it u must turn of the engine and flick the light switch from close to open and close back and the lights will lit up for 30 seconds
*
the flick method is for the headlight to be the followmehome light. If you want to show off the LED light, press lock for second time and only the LED will light up for about 30 seconds (it can be your followmehome lihgt as well).

This is another thing I hope if proton can re-code their software. In the merc, the followmehomelight will switch on automatically after locking the door (no need to flick the headlight indicator or no need to lock two times).

thats scary, what of the whole remote are broken and u are 200KM away from the spare alarm. dont they have a manual way of using the key to by password the system?
*
This is normal. Even the merc keyless start is like that. There is no manual way to start the engine. Last time my key got no battery, I have to call my wife to send me the spare key.

I think this is why Preve has the remote battery check.

that's why proton air con so cool biggrin.gif preve at afternoon i put near 25c and fan auto, the car is still cool smile.gif my myvi, put full and full fan the car still cannot compare with preve at all..
*
Sometimes I feel the air-cond is too cold especially in the night. I have to set the temperature to 27c.

huh.... thats a bit scary. so which mean the key in the alarms are mainly for you to lock/unlock the car door only. huh.....
*
Yes. the key is just to onlock/lock the car manually.

QUOTE(fulat @ May 22 2012, 10:44 AM)
huh... can we ask for the third remote for spare? anyone know the extra i need to pay?
*
hmm... normally this type of key is quite expensive. The merc key cost almost RM 2K.
