If Barca and Real in EPL, then la liga lost 2 of its UCL spots to the greater league..which in that case will be EPL...
*
Thats one thing. Without the 2 clubs of the league. SPanish league suddenly becomes one of the lower league that only 2 UCL spots allowed and the other 2 go to EPL as the consequence of being the very best league in the world.

Another thing being. When Barca joined EPL. EPL defenders were frustrated at the way they palyed football... Being booked even though didn't have any contacts... So a thinking comes to them... "Even if we didn't touch them, they fall and we get booked, we might as well just go for the hardest let them fall and we get booked". Within the 1st month, the entire Barca's 6 forwards and midfields went into hospitals. They will be forced to play with inexperience youths and got relegated at the end of the season. That makes the top 6 clubs in EPL being the 3 richie richs- Real Madrid, Man City and Chelsea with the other 3 being MU, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham or Newcastle.
