Bro skyjack, yours is turbo? Geoauto charged me rm90 more for using TOTAl oil.

Just want to clarify before I totally boycott this SC.

Yes, mine is turbo and I went to PBB Seremban. Am satisfied with their service. Maybe KL charges are higher. Will be good to hear from others in Kalang Valley!

Wow, that's a good price! My old Altis 10k service also hover around RM270 to RM350 depending on work done. It's almost equal or only slightly more expensive.

I think with prices like that, the gap between continental and Japanese marque regular servicing cost is gradually closing. Although spare part replacement remains to be a mystery.
*
Tks for your feedback. My price does not include labour charge, 1st service is free for labour. For the next one onwards,I think it will be extra $50. If you guys think it's still cheaper here than I'll stick to this SC.

The mechanic was a young guy and seemed very competent. I had a friendly chat with him, just to get an overall picture of this SC.

My bill is also rm381.
Quartz 9000 ineo ecs 5w30 5 liter rm333
Oil filter rm44.30
Drain plug. Rm3.70.
Labour. Rm90(f.o.c)

Bro skyjack, seremban seems to charge you higher if u choose petronas oil. Because u will be paying rm50 lesser while geoauto will be rm90 lesser.

Still, I prefer to go glenmarie for the great customer service and the pretty receptionist. smile.gif

Hehehe......looks like I got to try Glenmarie, tks bro!

puchong sc uses petronas oil and also did aircon treatment for pollen etc. and this was not mentioned by the cs. overall bill around 480.
*
A bit on the high side la bro. With Petronas oil the bill should be around $330. So $150 for pollen treatment? Mind sharing with us what exactly was done on this pollen treatment. Did you ask for this? I can't see this on the service schedule!

I see, never know that disc also need to change. Any recommendation for my friend to change his disc?
*
Bro,just to clear your confusion on brake pad/disc.

The pads are fixed on a metal base plate by 2 studs. As the pads wear off during use, they should be changed before the holding studs can be seen visually. These studs are also metal. People often forget to change worn off pads, now the metal studs start scratching the disc and circular groves appear on the disc. If the scratch groves are not too deep, the disc can be skimmed ( a thin layer shaved off to make the surface smooth ). If the groves are too deep, then the disc has to be changed.

Your friend just forgot about the brake pads and only decided to look at it when a screeching sound appears during breaking. This is when the metal studs come into contact with the disc during breaking. Even that he delayed, cos early detection can save the disc by skimming.

Make sure your pads are changed timely, which will only cost a few hundred. This way your brake disc will last to 100K and save you few thousands!

Just read the review of 4008. Very disappointing. Unfortunately it's only a pretty face but is underpowered and rides poorly. I'll pass on this.

Well I was hoping that we can get a feel about it first hand and cross check with what we can read up and form a final verdict AFTER a pugs bro talk. But since it may not come into Msia (lowpro said so)... No chance to test drive, so have to sing the Beatle Song---Let it be ,Let it be , Let it Be, Let it be.....

Hehehe.....true.......Let it be! Tks for sharing the photos!

It does, no need to test. It's proven.

The fuel consumption is regulated by the cruise control function and will stay at the optimal fuel consumption point to maintain speed. It is definitely much more consistent compared to human foot control. But be sure to temporarily disable CC if you are going uphill or it will increase consumption in order to maintain the set speed.

Tried and found it is the best FC,it is proven indeed!

Shall we create a new topic as "Peugeot 408 Owner Club"? Or something like that? Actually this tread was meant for 408 spied shot, and TS has gone missing. Just a suggestion.

Excellent idea! cheers.gif
