I've test driven the Hyundai Elantra 1.6 at Jalan 222, feels sluggish. IMPO. After that I went to Bangsar to try out the 408T 1.6, the turbo makes it really different and the interior space, it's like going into Harry Potter's friend Weasley's tent.

Battery weak as they say. Peugeot car having many fancy electronic inside and even the fan still running after we off the engine. That will consume battery too.
Normal price RM455 but under warranty so free la. you guys better ask the service advisor too about your battery status during servicing. My hubby told me there is a 2 week owner of 508, come for 1st 2500km inspection also advised to change battery.

seems that 408T is a very good deal...

1 word i can describe is "WOW"...
it's very comfortable and spacious...
actualli i'm more to 508T but too pricey...
see if i can't get ani 2nd hand car by dis year...

Should try. It may not the fastest car to reach the top but its still enjoying passing thru other car with smoke.

the key differences are not just the horsepower. it is what's inside the engine that matters and how the ecu is mapped to take in poor fuel quality and not foul up. internal components are beefed up as well to cope with higher stress.

the 2.0 vs turbo in sales is very close to half each with the turbo edging slightly ahead. that proves that the 2.0 represents pretty good value as well not only in comparison to its direct competitors but also the turbo.

Reporting my mileage consumption. I m overwhelm with the result. Maybe someone here can help me do calculation.

Pumped full tank at kesas. Drove to jb.ard 420km. Left half tank shown on the meter cluster. Refill to full tank at rm50.01 before leaving for SG. Spent 2 nights with There. Went to Johor and spent another night. Leave for kl with roughly 40% of petrol. Reach Ayer Hitam and fill up rn25. Now back to ard 2/3 tank. Total spent on petrol now is rm75.01. All the way back to klang. Refill at rm84.05. Total km for the whole journey was 1030km.

What I did was rm50.01+ rm25 + rm84.05 = 159.06/2. I get average full tank price for this trip. @ rm80(for easy calculation).

I use rm80/1000km(again for easy calculation) = rm0.08/km. wow, I didn't know my 408t is so fuel efficient. I haven't done my first service yet.

Today only went to geoauto behind naza Jalan 222 for service.

Seriously, I have a bad experience with the front counter name Rajan. Another lady driving 308t also facing the same problem. The guy didn't even know what she meant by jerking.its layman and I expect him to understand that.

Immediately I made a complain to their careline and complain about him in front of him. Well, if u ask me! He asked for it. Quote : " if you want, you can call our careline and make complain" ok. I ask for the number from his colleague and call immediately in front of him.

They dismantle battery, white color plastic thingy next to it (quite a big one and I think it's not a gearbox) checks out internal and found the center radio unit fully dismantle and taken out. The guy also doing something at far left dashboard(the space where your passenger door touches when door is shut.

A bit worry, asked the technician but he doesn't seem like to entertain me. Haih....so, took a photo with my s3. But lazy to post here bcos using iPad.

What do you mean what's with the steering wheel design?? 508 have the same steering wheel design I believe.

I don't see why they will replace the 207 with the 301, the 301 has the same wheelbase size as a 408 which means it's in the same C-segment market. It's more logical to replace the 207 with the 208.

Not saying that they can't, but that means they are using a more expensive offering to compete in a very competitive budget segment even though the 301 is considered a budget sedan.

The pics posted for the 301 steering wheel is really ugly and bulky, IMO, cannot make it. The outlook of the car is fine though.
