QUOTE(Agito666 @ Feb 22 2016, 11:22 AM) i heard that SF5 don't have the "smooth cluster input or whatever" like SF4 right? you talking about this?which means big disadvantage for keyboard user? http://www.displaylag.com/reduce-input-lag...finitive-guide/ well from training/against cpu the input is okay. but when online, if there's juz lag/rollback/teleport - your input can come out a second later or after an action and you will be wadafak.... i only notice delay when crouch MK -> hadoken. sometimes fail, dunno why. QUOTE(Spawny @ Feb 22 2016, 03:30 PM) Gaining points and losing points is very harsh in this game, i lost to a pro which only has 500LP and i lost 90 points now still ok. gain 60+, lose 25+......hahaha if gain 50 and lose 50, i think my point will be forever 0 and i like how they upgrade/downgrade your league accordingly to your point. |

QUOTE Beginner Guide 1. Don't Jump ...or at least jump a lot less. Jumping is a bad idea in Street Fighter. It locks you into moving in a pre-set arc, limits your offensive options, and eliminates all your defensive ones. You’re basically asking to be tagged with an anti-air attack, giving free damage away to your opponent. Also keep inmind that players tend to jump when they feel that they’re losing the ground game, so be sure to have your best anti-air ready, like Ryu’s crouching heavy punch, when your opponent starts recklessly taking to the skies. By doing this, you'll take fewer senseless hits over the course of a match, and pick up a few free ones for yourself. 2. Learn to Play Footsies Footsies refer to when players jockey for position and poke at each other with their best normal attacks, very often involving their feet. The first thing you should do when picking up a new character is identify their fastest, farthest-reaching normal attacks, and practice using these at their maximum ranges to chip away at your opponent and to control as much space as you can. Ryu’s crouching medium kick, and Birdie’s standing medium kick are both examples of good footsie tools. If an opponent is advancing on you, try to hit your best poke preemptively, so it becomes active just as they walk into its range. 3. Combo Theory Combos allow you to maximize the damage you deal per opportunity you find. Even learning a basic two-hit combo to hit someone with when they’re open can greatly improve your win rate. The most basic way of forming a combo is to cancel a normal move into a special one by quickly inputting the command for the second move immediately after the first. Keep in mind, not every normal move can be canceled in this way, and which ones can be is different from character to character. Experiment with canceling a variety of your character’s normal moves into special ones, like Ryu’s crouching medium kick into fireball. Just getting one extra hit every time you land an initial one will greatly increase the rate at which you damage your opponent. 4. Knockdowns and You What about when you get hit? Well learning what to do when you or your opponent have been knocked down is essential. When you’re on the ground, opponent’s will try to pressure you as you stand, or “wake up.” Identify a good reversal move to wake up with to make aggressive opponents pay. Ryu’s Dragon Punch is ideal for this. When your opponent is lying down on the job, keep your momentum going by timing your attacks to their wake-up. Consider blocking as they get up if you think they’re going to wake up with a strong move like a Dragon Punch, this way you can hit them afterwards when they’re vulnerable. 5. Meter Management Your red V-Meter and your blue EX meter are important resources. V-meter powers your V-reversal and V-trigger, two powerful new tools. V-Reversal allows you to break out of pressure while blocking. V-Trigger is a unique ability for each character, like Birdie’s which make all of his head-based attacks deal more hits and damage. This meter builds by taking damage or by making effective use of your V-Skill. Accumulated V meter goes away at the end of the round, so use it or lose it! Your EX meter fuels EX specials, which are juiced-up versions of existing moves, and your Critical Art, a single, incredibly powerful attack you can use to inflict huge burst damage on your opponent. This meter is built by most offensive or defensive actions, but carries over between rounds. Sometimes, if you’re about to lose a round, it’s best not to burn any meter on an improbable comeback, and just save it to come out strong next round. That’s it. Five simple tips any beginner can follow to greatly improve at Street Fighter 5. Happy fighting, and we’ll see you online! |

QUOTE(temptation1314 @ Feb 22 2016, 05:18 PM) Always kena pwned by Ryu playing defense+hadoken and shoryuken to counter watch more daigo video on how he kena pressure by non hadoken player. its not really that hard to pressure a hadoken defensive player into corner. All because they want to rake up points. Lel and ryu punch has alot of frame to pull back....damn slowpoke fatass ryu. since ryu hadoken has more frame in SFV, its quite easy to kena punish by jump over This post has been edited by sai86: Feb 22 2016, 05:24 PM |

QUOTE(kEazYc @ Feb 22 2016, 09:22 PM) How do i get my arcade stick to work on SF5 PC? erm, you use x360ce, put into SFV binaries -> win64 folder. EDIT: http://www.polygon.com/2016/2/17/11026692/...arcade-stick-pc Guess i found my answer, you must use a xbox360 compatible arcade stick in order to work on PC. then open x360ce, configure your stick and save the file and whoila. u can use ur stick now. using HRAP V3-Sa now and waiting ebay zero delay pcb to mod the TE. Daigo got its own manga...i didn't knew that This post has been edited by sai86: Feb 22 2016, 10:11 PM |

QUOTE(kyap @ Feb 23 2016, 09:41 PM) My game can't launch in full screen since day one. Every time when launch in full screen, the window will jump back to desktop and the game will minimize. I had tried all the methods from googling (renamed the opening movie, alt+enter changed the config.ini to read only). Anyone here facing the same problem like me? hmm, never encounter this. when minimize the game is still running right? Also, I'm having hardly to get smooth players to play with (lounge, casual or ranked match) most of the time opponents get teleporting around. play good matches with Lucifer96. really learn alot and i need to control my urge to get out of corner. muz learn more patience. until the lag shower upon our 3rd round. the combo below start at 0.50 sec. its jump in HK->MP->Shoryuken cancel into Tatsumaki LK? QUOTE(madballs @ Feb 24 2016, 01:39 AM) lol....super duper high number in ranks ?? lol...LP bout 300 ....i can't level up cuz need to wait so long ...it makes me sleepy this is also known as one sided lag. already got player complain to Cashcow on this kind of lag. just started to do rank match earlier today, cuz i know previously was horrible so didn't bother also, i got into a match earlier which i should have won, the game was rolling back so badly i can't execute anything, however, my opponent seems fine cuz i see he manage to see him do 3 links without issue..i cant even do fireball motion =.=! the rollback is on the entire match, not like some random lag that occur at times, its damn frustrating. that game make me looks a scrub (even thou i might be one) juz keep spam whatever you want to do twice or just rage quit if it lag so badly. rage quit when lose = bad manners rage quit when 1st round not more than 20 sec = dont waste time on TP match cashcow need to provide us option to quit match if both players agree to it. <-no penalty |

QUOTE(sniperz @ Feb 24 2016, 09:41 AM) Mind to show the cheapest arcade joysticks available? I heard of this Hori Mini Fighting Stick which can be used for all sorts of fighting games. I'm interested but the $$$ is something to be concerned. Still checking! yes. that's the cheapest. i think the downside is small base where you might lift the stick easily if you use it on your lap.Netcodes are much better than SFIV and others. I can feel they are putting effort in making it. More patches needed. got 1 forumer gotten it @ SFV PS4 thread. mayb you can try to scout for used HRAP V3 or madcatz TE (self mod the PCB to use with latest PC that doesn't have Intel chipset or PCI to slot in VIA chipset USB express). and you can easily replace the button and stick as well. i think able to get HRAP V3 is the best option - plug and play on PC and sanwa parts else, you also can do your own AS. get the PCB from ebay <RM40, then the stick and button. The PCB has include all the wiring for your need. you just need to make your own box. I'll let you know how good is this PCB once i received it and mod the TE. example.
