Guys, have you ever dropped your iPad ( 1st, 2nd or 3rd generation ) ?

I dropped mine (No any pouch but with screen protector) when it was just 4 days after purchase from a height of about 1.2 meter to tile floor.

Surprisingly, the screen didn't crack but i got a dent on top right corner ( in which i suspect it is the dent that saved my iPad )

At first, the 3G function and GPS seem to be failed to operate. It keeps saying unable to activate cellular data despite the full bar of Maxis line. The GPS as well showed me could not determine location with wifi turned off.

I pat the back of my ipad a few times and it worked back ! Thx GOD

Guys, what are your experience ? Have you ever drop your iPad ?

P/s used Ferrari pouch with my New iPad now.

I personally just ignore it. Cause i have been told by my Uncle who worked for Apple Singapore that as long as the screen is ok, you will still have the warranty.

P/s Apple Singapore is the one who control Apple SEA

As long as the screen is not cracked, they will not void your warranty. This is what my uncle told me.

For the yellow tint issue, i don think it is an issue since earlier iPad do encounter this a lot.

Yea, Apple service provider in KL may have said another version.

Really Hope Apple will open its Apple store in Malaysia in near future and kick all those Resellers' and Authorised Service Agent's A$$!

Oic, same with mine. But u pay that much money just because of the dent? do u think your iPad will have any problem in the covered period? I don think so except for the battery. But I think battery is not covered under warranty right?

Bro, have you called Apple hotline for the issue ? Or you just go to the service center ? Do they ask you for your Serial Number ?

I've read a lot ppl successfully have their dented ipad change for 1 time. So i am thinking i will not tell Apple now.

Possible if you said that dent more than 4mm warranty is voided @@

They will not void as they don see the damage themself, but they will black list the serial number

Mean like they will extra precaution on your unit next time you send for any warranty purposes.

What do u mean bro ? I think your chance of getting a new ipad is more or less zero. You most probably will be given refurbished unit.
