Agree, iPad 1 gen has the best built quality amongst the later generations. Maybe the design of the casing have better vibration preventions and the sides are not easily dent.

Is it true that Apple won't issue the warranty for iPad if the faulty iPad had a dent which over 4mm?

Anybody can clarify this? Million thanks in advance.

It depends actually, some may have no problem but some may encountered problems with their hardware such as screen, wifi modem or speakers. I believe it should varies on how hard the impact and which part hit the ground 1st.

dropped my ipad with casing...but the corner of the ipad got dented as well...somehow i think the casing design not strong at the corner...actually got 2 corners already dented...

sad.gif

otherwise, i think the casing is doing its job to protect the ipad overall....

probably it could have been worse without the casing...

I opt a SwitchEasy Canvas since it have a plastic casing wrapping the sides of the iPad, been dropped and knocking around sometimes but the iPad still looks prefect.

Dropped to a small water pool. Guess what? Not so really functioning... Not to really blame myself but since it's first time experience, forget it.

actually i'm using Switcheasy Canvas...the problem is when i dropped...it actually hit the corner...so the corner of the plastic case chipped..and the ipad was dented a bit as well....

but after a while...no feel hurt anymore...continue use as normal since the dent is minimal at the corner....
