It's time to update the list started by H@H@.
The presenting format will largely remain the same as original. Since I'm not the original thread owner, this post will be updated with the help from moderator(s).

Not all MMOs will be listed here as of now. Additional list of threads will be added if sufficient activity is observed for the non-listed thread. Forumers request with valid link to the respective LYN thread will also be considered. (Best to have at least some community support, not a one-man-army thread)

Quick definition:
F2P - Free to Play (Pays nothing to access, usually adopt microtransactions buisness model)
P2P - Pay to Play (Pays activation/monthly fees to access)
T2P - Time to Play (Pays using in-game currency to access, which you earn through spending your time in the game, usually supplement subscription based buisness model)

Just a suggestion:
Sort them according to activation, monthly fee, both or totaly free in an alphabeticle order, because I was trying to find the free ones tongue.gif. It might be easier for someone with the same purpose.

It took me about an hour to compile that list... Had to check in the game sites to see if its p2p or not (Kinda annoying as some of them were really badly written or just not in English)

Anyway, I'll get to it soon.

EDIT: Done... Now, can anyone confirm for me whether any game under the Sony Station acccess system still requires an activation fee unless they're subscribed to that pass?

Nope. If I listed those games, I could literally spend every waking moment making that list.

And to the rest of you complaining about games that aren't in the list. I compiled the list based on threads that are in the forum (Which shows that ppl are actually playing it). So, if its not there, don't assume that I purposely left it out. I just don't know about it.

Anyway, I'll only update the first post every 2-4 weeks or so to give time for new threads to develop and more games to come in.

Rubies of Eventide? Pretty decent, free MMORPG but can pay for "gentry" account (which allows a bunch of extras). Takes some features of succesful games and combines them.

Started to play Unifcation Wars yesterday and I'm already addicted to this game. I've been playing PC games for years (very light gamer), this is my first online game. I don't like those dragon slaying games and I found this game interesting.

The best part of this game is web base. I could play it anywhere as long as there's PC with internet connection. No installation required. I could even play it with my PDA via Wifi.

Soldat is another *totally free , optional to register* massively multiplayer online game. Preety fun once you get good at it but expect cheaters and annoying children who kick you out for being a "noob" lol

Auto Assault is an MMORPG that didn't really make title hits on the MMO scene at launch, but with the recent updates (up to Update 4), the game is looking much better than it did before.

There is a 14-day trial going on now, so people can try the game free of charge for a while. Do note the game is 3.2GB to download, and none of our local vendors have this game at the moment, but it only took me about 12 hours worth of downloading and patching to get on. (1MBps streamyx -.- )

Very unique...It is looks like the Final Fantasy in new MMORPG version but without big objective as FF.

Dungeon Runners is another free to download and play mmorpg(membership optional for extra in-game perks), by NCSoft(Linage, Auto assault, Guild Wars, etc).

Delete all 3 Files

Then Extract the Patch to Desktop then copy & paste all the files to the RYL folders you've installed (This patch will link to my server)

jz a quick correction required in the list:

"EVE-online" should b removed from the "Free to play with Cash Shops" list. there's only a free 14 day trial, after that need to pay monthly sub.

and as far i know... there's no cash shop, only for uers to buy time cards (the rest are of course, illegal~ tongue.gif )

Survival Project closed a long time ago :/
I've moved to Grand Chase SEA now instead biggrin.gif
At least I still can get some actions although its not viewing from top view.
The other game which I remembered which looked something like Survival Project was called Lunia Senki (War Record of Lunia).

The Saga of Ryzom are back with supposedly limitless free trial now. Generally what that means is that it's f2p but there's no official say on how long will this last. 5. Leisure Gameplay Not Wasting Time Meaninglessly
Once you have a perfect plan, you won't need to spend much time in developing your planets. When you deploy your resources, you may even activate the Planet Trusteeship service and the server will help develop your planets even when you are not online. If you do not have much time to play the game, you can spend a few Mall Points to ensure you have a rich game experience, even if your time online is limited. So just make a plan to develop your planets and you will become strong in time.

The size of the Galaxy Online client is about 20MB. It is very fast to download and begin your adventure. Despite the small file size, the game still features delicate graphics and amazing combat scenes.

Flyff's a game with a Cash Shop, not totally free.

It's free in the sense that you don't have to pay for anything at all to play, but there's a premium item shop.

2) Grand Fantasia (Balanced between PvE and PvP, it is made by Taiwanese and this is the English version hosted in U.S)

3) WonderKing Online (Those who love Maple Story, but hate that Maple Story doesn't have PvP feature, you are at the right place now biggrin.gif )

New 1000 AD is a free online multiplayer turn based strategy war game based on civilizations around the year 1000 AD. All you need to play is a browser. The object of the game is to get the most land, research and points to be at the top of the leaderboard. You can win two ways by attacking your opponents into submission or exploring past them.

You can build alliances, declare wars, produce an economy based around wood, iron, food and gold. Build your army to attack friends or send your explorers on missions to gain land. Production of goods, buildings and army are the keys to being the best and top ranked empire. Control your population, aid your friends goods in time of need, defence of your empire and control of the trade market are all part of the quest to conquer the game.

We have 2 games to play at New 1000 A.D. The Standard is a 28 day round with turns coming every 9 minutes and Blitz is a 21 day round with turns coming every 3 minutes. The civilizations you have to choose from are the Vikings, Byzantines, Chinese, Japanese, Zulu, Barbarians, Incas, Franks, Turks or the Mongols. Each with their own advantages and disadvantages.

currently it is Open Beta...and the only server they currently have is at the northern american and europe...but they planning to open an asia server soon..

it is an online 3rd person shooter game and some might notice it from the Ghost Recon Future Soldier game...

seems like you are one of the admin.

some suggestion.

1. allow to disable the big notice appearing in the middle of the screen announcing who like facebook blablabla. it is disturbing the quest and annoying.

2. pls clean off the on9gamer shouting character, my guess is they are illegal players trying to sell gold.

3. disable murder in major city, it is annoying when you meditate someone come and pk.

4. allow to disable event and friend notice. it is not necessary and annoying as well.

im done with all sorts of mmorpg out there... and then i get back to my psp, playing monster hunter, taking down monsters with a single sword!

And then it came into my mind to playing something as similar as monster hunter, online and via PC. Please suggest me a few. I was thinking Tera Online [THREAD], but the download size is a massive 35G! I believe the genre would fall into action mmorpg. DO u guys know any other games in a similar categories? TIA.

Usually they don't since players already pay for the game contents. However, for EVE Online there's "item mall" that requires real money (with an option to purchase it indirectly using in-game currency) which are mostly for cosmetic purpose. The other P2P games I'm not really sure about them, gotta need other players to clarify on it.

Please update:

Archeage is now f2p+p2p - US & Euro server available

If you choose p2p you will get 10% more exp and you will be allow to build your own house/farm/mansion... but take note land for building your house on nowdays have been FULLY occupied except land for BIG houses like villa or mansion (for all the server)

This era is not like 10 years back, many new online games launch, some times in a year there are a few, u pun tak tau wanna play which 1.

If u looking for new F2P MMO, i may suggest Revelation Online. It is an action base MMO. And they opened up new server 2 months ago so if u want to try u may start at new server because at old server, most players are OP already (hard to catch up).

If u wondering, this game is kinda mix of Tera and BnS, in term of fluidity and combat experience. And afraid not, this game also have d ability to use traditional control method which is point and click and spam keyboard.. lmao

Open world clan war (guild war) once per week
Special map for open PK (without getting penalty)
Open world PK (gt penalty)
Game depth (2 much to do lmao)
Outfit (fashion)
Guild System (u got a BIG guild base)

Sadly its NA/EU
and as far as i concern for NA server i got around 250-270 ping with 10 mbps unifi, gonna get my TIME next week though, hope d ping is better.. and its actually quite playable for me, not much delay (noted that i play melee DPS, action combat control mode/not point clicking spam style).. Basically people from around NA do get 50-80 ping.. and to have 300+ ping is something to avoid with this game.

Hi, would like to add Kicks Online Global into the list for others to know. Kicks Online was released in Malaysia /Singapore by Run Up Malaysia in 2007 whilst having other Servers in HK, and the EU. The game was closed down almost 10 years ago. Recently, its players has revived the game with improvements such as x2 Exp and x3 Points whilst reducing the EXP Table for levelling up by almost half. I humbly implore not just its players to revisit the game but also all football fans to try the game out and enjoy a round or two with us. There is NO microtransactions in the game and Player skills can be bought permanently. Its just a revival of a game by its players for players.

This game thrives on Players making rooms and playing with each other, and without its players, this game is dead at best. Whilst not being graphically comparable to what's on the market today, Kicks Online enhances player gameplay with its depth of football positions and its skills to shape its enjoyment of players. Teamwork is the key of the game and there is no P2W mechanics in this game. The game also can have competitive tournaments ranging from Club matches arranged by Clubs. There truly is no other game like this now.

We currently have a full room of 5v5 SEA players (includes MY, SG and even HK) daily from 7pm till at least 12am.

I used to play Digimon online. the game is something similar to Linear 2, but after three years, I began to pay attention to another type of game, for example keno. This is a Chinese game, it seems to be considered a gamble, but that's not the point. how to play keno online there is more information.
