Did my 1k service today..

o Misc - RM 5.00 (what is this for?@!)
o CO Shell Helix Plus HX-7 4L - RM110.00
o Y2 Filter Assy-Eng - RM17.37 (so cheap only ar the oil filter)
o CO Washer Drain Plug - RM1.62
o Labor - FOC

The cost of the parts seems very decent to me.
The engine sounds a little different after this 10W40 oil change. Not sure what kind of oil they put in at factory. Power wise is about the same. Gonna pour some MoS2 inside soon.

FOC labour from SA is it? that is semi or fully sync bro?  smile.gif
*
That is semi lo. Fully syn will be RM200+ liao. I will use fully during the next service smile.gif
FOC labor is from the user manual, something like vouchers. 1k and 5k service labor is FOC, only need to pay for oil/parts.

Ask if use full synt can request every 10k service?

If T can, y Hyundai cannot?  hmm.gif

I will try to ask from my end also
*
If use fully syn oil, change interval will be 10k. No problem one.
Hyundai branch only use semi (5k) and fully (10K). There is no mineral option, so the semi looks a bit not worth it.
Take the fully syn, save some time going there waiting service, and save some labor and oil filter cost.

BTW, saw a Hyper Silver parked right next to Sleek Silver today at SC.

For those looking for a comparison here is a snap off my cellphone. Sorry for the quality ya. blush.gif
It looks exactly like the Tucson Hyper Silver, and I don't really like it. Lucky I didn't want to wait for this color for 1.6HS. nod.gif

Oic .. OK OK ... for me i think 2 weeks can drive 1K jor .. haha~

Added on May 26, 2012, 11:26 pm

most importantly i wanted to bring my own full-sync oil ler .. hehe~  drool.gif
*
My SC doesn't allow bring own oil. sad.gif
After 10k service then I go ask around other SC bah. Shell Helix not that bad la, but I don't like the idea of using 10W40 oil in an engine designed for 0w30 or even 0w20.

QUOTE(666devil @ May 27 2012, 12:08 AM)
No wor. I was told even though use full synt, must still service every 5k bcoz of oil filter. Sad sad.gif
*
Lucky mine said no need. After 10k then only need to go.

Done 1K services today at Sg.Pinang 3S.

After service, felt more responsive when press the gas pedal.

Btw, what's that last 2 items for ?

Time to change service centre. The last 2 items are so obviously out to con you.
My 1k service is RM134 (without the last 2), at official SDH branch.

Can't find anything with this P/N. Service interval is 40k km with this plug, so is this plat or iridium also?

Dropped by SierraGlow today to do some maintenance works .. saw a Preve again.

After the owner left, I took a peek and went to sit into the interior. I must say.. for 73000 they're paying - it's indeed a big price to pay.

To start off.........................

Believe it or not, to many Malaysians this is what they consider good quality. They are not yet at the level to comprehend that things can be done better.

I have a renovation contractor who mounted a rectangular bathroom mirror vertically, about 10cm off center from the tap. Guess what, he looks at it and told me it looks great.. doh.gif

Ask you guys something.

So now after 1k service, the next service is at 6k+. If I do fully syn, means the next one will be at 16k, and so on.. etc etc..
The oil change probably won't hit the mark at 40k when the spark plugs and other major services happen, do I need to go back to the service center at 40k to change the plugs, then probably back again at 45k to change oil?

next service should be 5k bro.  biggrin.gif

also if you use fully on the 5k, the 10k you still must go back. do not skip 10k,20k and such. those are important services.

so my suggestion is either you choose to continue use semi on 5k service

or

fully, but still change on 10k service, meaning you sorta "burn" 5k mileage because you're on fully. however, dont despair, changing fully on 5000km interval is still in fact best, just whether your wallet can tahan only or not.
*
The sticker in my windscreen reads next service at 6xxx km. can anyone confirm this? I also confirmed with my SC that if use fully syn, no need to revisit after 5k. just go back after 10k is up, which makes me wonder about the other required services in between.

My wallet not so fat as you ley. lol.
And can't afford the time to visit SC every 2 months...

OK. COD with Shorty5 just now at JPO (he is not that short you know wink.gif )

The mats are of good quality, nice fitting with Velcro, and the black color matches just right with our interior.
I will post some photos later if time allows. No other accessories shop does the same in JB afaik. thumbup.gif

Oh? Just get to know this  tongue.gif  However in the states, they normally get 91 RON fuel right?  Always hope our premium spec can get their limited spec sound system and better quality HU.  blush.gif
*
US doesn't use RON, instead AKI.

91 AKI is about same as 95 RON.

In some areas (very limited though), they offer as high as 100+ AKI.

it's best if everyone can record every full pump and the distance travelled from last reset.. this will show the accurate km/L mileage.. so far I still can't seem to find a Malaysia thread using this method that I can use as a good comparison. All I can see is.. 450km.. 600km,800km per full tank. and the funny thing is they don't even know the tank size...
