btw, when create my first char in GW2, it didnt ask which svr i want to be in..
The same happened to me, didn't get to choose. It seems to follow your choice in previous beta* or stress test*. Then tried to change with Gems, details sent, nothing received. Then the unrestricted and free transfer thing solve it (Even though I get tossed between 2 servers, haha) At least me and my buddies filed almost ~17 bug reports.
*Oh, I know well about NDA, but there's a way to join WITHOUT agree and signing NDA
the nda has been lifted since the last beta weekend event.
I think I confused you, should've bold the word "previous". I mean the NDA in the Beta and Stress Test before 24th April, which is permanent; unless you got the Press NDA.
totally worth every ringgit spent on this game, not like the stupid D3
for 2 BWE d...every time i tell myself must take more screenshot of WvWvW in action or during big boss event...but every time i got so immersed i totally forgot about them, till when the BWE is over and i looked inside my screenshot folder only i realized...
Yes. To play from North America you must purchase a North American copy of the game. To play from Europe you must purchase a European copy of the game. Note that this restriction impacts where you can play from, not which game worlds you can choose to play on.
By purchasing the correct copy of the game, you're supporting the game in your country, and you'll be connecting to your local data center, using your local customer support team, and downloading the correct language support for your country.
Here are some answers and clarifications for you! First, if you purchase the game from https://buy.guildwars2.com/ you'll automatically be sorted into the right region.
And don't worry -- we want you to play with your friends wherever you are. This policy only affects where you can login from -- not which worlds you can access. People from NA will be able to play with people from EU at launch. We've got two datacenters -- one in NA and one in EU. Those who do not fall into either of those two regions will default to the NA datacenter.
Finally, we are aware that a lot of our players travel, and we are looking into a solution for you.
Tl:dr: If u get EU key, you can't play from Malaysia. But these keys only limit where your location is and NOT servers/worlds.
Guild officer in GW1 just made the mistake. He's Romanian and bought a copy for my leader as she was traveling when pre-purchase started back in April 10th. She had to go through support to get it sorted out. It was a nightmare as support got hammered badly that period. Took them 3 days to solve that issue.

Btw, these 2 links should be put on first post so that people will know about the game before rushing in blindly. Do note that a lot of changes made every single BWE (community suggestion and such), so the guides might be a lil outdated, but still a must read.
Thx to the region stuff, lucky ask else get from seller is EU version will cry haha. ok but still bit nclear for skill got race skill and profession skill.(Human race, warrior, 2 different set) all of it is what we can chooose to slot in to 6-0 is it? if like that 5 race 8 profession like 40 different class we can play. Yes, if can the 1st page pls update for new comers can read more to be more clear 1 extra thing to ask, is the skill in the game can reset like diablo3 or need to use special stone costly to reset or cant reset at all?
Skill are weapon based. So I take it as you mean trait points. Yes. At one of your profession's trainers.
If you mean the utilities skill points, so far no, but you will get enough to have all
Thxs for the trait guide, really alot of info for non-BWE tester like me. btw, in GW you can pt npc/heroes, does this feature still exist in GW 2?
No more henchmen and heroes, they scraped it. Guild Wars Utopia was suppose to be the last campaign with heroes and henchmen, but they notice they can do better with their game engine( which is the GW2 today with open world that don't need heroes and henchmen).

Sorry guys a question. If I get the UK collector edition so I need to download the EU client or US client?
Coz they say game has no region lock but client does
The client is not region lock, the key is.

Umm, where do I type in the e-mail? Do I put a comment or smth? @@ Confusing.
To be honest, that site does look like a scam. Look at step 3 - You have to enter the key in a non-official registration site (Official site should be https://register.guildwars2.com) and enter your current account (GW1) info if you got one.
Edit: Step 3

Seems that now we will continue gaining skill points (1 per level) even after 80, just like GW1. And skill points are required/used to purchase ingredients to create legendy items (same stats as orange = exotic quality, different skin) in mystic forge.

Yes, it should be install into 1 folder anyway. You can back up the folder anywhere you want. It's always good to have another copy of the game files somewhere.
Also it is recommended that you install the game in a location other than the Program Files folder. It has been causing problem since closed beta.
