The buttons on the "Henley Crew" style collars looks cheap
The black band at the end of the sleeves should be stitched at the outside of the sleeves, not inside.. makes the shirt look better in my opinion

JerseyMan, how i wish to see u do a review for PI/Authentic vs replica on the new ManUtd home & away kit

btw, i still fail to get the PI/Authentic. unlike Arsenal & Barca.

when the "gingham" being introduced...i was telling to myself, "i will skip buying the home kit & getting the away instead" but everything change when i saw the real shirt & i must say this 1 if the best ManUtd home kit. As for the away, isn’t bad either.

As expected, Man Utd hardly ever released PI version of its shirt (except I think 10/11 Home and some GK shirt)

OT: I saw fakes PI for this season with T-bar and holes on side

Manchester United does not allow Nike to publicly sell the PI jersey unfortunately.... For the Authentic version, unfortunately I didn't buy it because of $$$.. if someone wants me to do a review, you can pass the jersey to me and I'll do an honest review. It doesn't have to be a United jersey, even Liverpool or Chelsea jersey can..

There is so much fake PI going around, how do we really know that the PI is real or fake? some youtube PI jersey I am not even sure if they are real or fake.
Last year's home washing labels are printed. but the youtube PI for this year washing lable is normal like replicas... i would expect it to be printed but other areas looks really convincing...

Mind to share the link to the youtube PI for this year? The one that was leaked for the home and blue gk kit is not a PI but replica.. I've seen that video already.

TBH... to answer your question on how to relaly know is it real or fake......... I don't have the answer. People ask how I check.. I say, it's based on my experience and knowledge.. so if you need help, just pm me and I will always be glad to help. So far I've never let down everyone who has PM to me directly here to check on authenticity of a certain jersey....

I know no one really knows the answer for sure unless they got one from they player themselves... but just wanna know what gives apart from all those obvious ones like quality of material...

the 1 in utube looks legit to me. it has a ladylike cutting whereas the replica is straight cut, but im not sure its authenticity though

difficult for me to say it is authentic. First and foremost player issue will have Printed washing labels, from the video it looks like it has the white washing info like what u can find on a replica.

Unless Nike is planning/was planning to release a P2R version, which would make this a hybrid version...


Also the PI version's MU crest have distinct black outline around the crest and the balls on the crest should be red outline, whereas from the video doesnt seem to have outer lines and the ball looks like have black outlines...and the ® logo looks thick, PI one is very thin and distinct. Though the video quality oso arent very good so cant say 100% as well.

Okay. First and foremost, Nike is not going to release the P2R version of the United shirt for 12/13 season. And the shirt in the youtube video is just another Fake that was claimed as a player shirt. 'Grade Ori PI' has flooded the market and I've got one myself for 10 quids and its no where near to the authentic one. I've attached some pictures of my original PI shirt that I've managed to obtain.



As you can see, the shirt is very athletically cut like those slim fit cutting.



After you flipped the shirt inside out, you can observe that the material of the inner is very soft and wool like material. The seams are glued together by a thin cloth type strip to minimize stitching. A original player shirt will have a tag with only the size and code info and not like a bunch of tags describing the drifit technology and whatnot like that you get from a original replica.


The Nike swoosh and the club crest are printed onto the fabric and its high quality and thick with a matte feel to the touch not like those cheap fake rubbery and plasticky feeling you get from a fake grade ori PI.


The T bar is placed accurately on the junction of the seams to make it stronger. Notice the perforated holes of the back of the shirt. Its no stranger to Nike player shirts. Most Nike player shirts have larger holes on the back of the shirt.


Last but not least, an original player shirt should have a printed washing tag. But I've seen fake player shirts with printed wash tags but most of the time they are inaccurate. Notice that it says 96% recycled polyester and etc. This is due to the shirt being made from recycled plastics that Nike used to make these shirts. Fake player shirts will just say 100% polyester etc.
