So i'm here to seek advice as well as learn how to OC.
Currently my PC runs on
Core i5 2400
GB-Z68AP-D3
ASUS GTX560 DirectCu ii
KVR DDR3 1333Mhz 4gb x1
everything is running at fact default speed, no alteration made yet.
I was thinking of getting a G.Skill DDR3 1600/1866Mhz 8gb (4gb x2) performance RAM to boost the performance up.
And of course being curious as i am, i went and search knowledge about RAM timing.
The 1st google result i got and i read them, it says although RAM says the clock speed is 1600Mhz for e.g, but it wont perform exactly at 1600Mhz on default, instead in runs at standard 1333Mhz unless u manually OC it to 1600Mhz which is the guarantee max clock they can give on that RAM.
Later on, i found out that, to OC ur RAM, u have to OC ur CPU as well (or at least) to make them both have the same clock speed, that's what i understand.
So, I know i5/i7 CPU with no K at the back can't be OC-ed (wat forumer told me when i surveyed which CPU to choose), how do i utilize my RAM to its fullest??
Does the Mobo nowadays automatically OC ur RAM to run at 1600Mhz max?? or i have to do it myself??
Please, do teach me as i wan to learn
If i ever learn and does well in dis tweakings, i might considering OC-ing GPU as well coz i heard its possible, right??
