four points only got 2 good things

1) big room
2) nice pool with gym facing the sea

the beach there is quite clean, but the sea water is really really meh

and the sea also gave me a huge surprise when i step into it until the water was ankle deep, then suddenly i feel it's muddy and when i pull up my leg, whole leg black black

four points not located at pantai cenang. it's less than 10 mins drive from pantai cenang though, and i personally find that the sea water at four points is worse than the one on cenang. beach of coz it's cleaner coz lesser ppl there

watdafark..this is serious. then? terus fly back emergency landing? any compensation? delay how long totally? when landing ok?

hm...stimix, is it better to update the 1st post to warn ppl to NOT BOOK/PAY for any car rental before they reach langkawi?

i follow this thread for quite sometimes d, and always noticed those that book their car (or even pay, doesn't matter just a small amount for deposit or the whole thing) end up either getting scam or cheated or bad service or given car with bad condition

while those that reach the island, see the car then only pay for it usually seems get better service.

not sure about fave. but i stayed at four points before.

four points is under the starwood groupd (sheraton, westin, W, aloft, le meridien, st regis all also under starwood group). but four points and aloft are the cheapest hotel in the group

anyway, four points room is big. good for kids. it also has balcony.




it's just by the beach, and the beach is pretty queit becoz not much ppl there, also because the water there is imo worse than pantai cenang.

but then nothing is near to the hotel besides the airport. it's around 10minutes drive to pantai cenang.

the only good thing about four points is it's huge room , the hotel is relatively new (just refurbish not long ago, last time is langkasuka or something), and it's infinity pool. very nice

clean...yes it is

will i recommend you to stay ? No. at it's price , now should be RM400++ , find any hotel nearer to pantai cenang

nicest beach is not cenang, cenang is the most happening beach

if want beautiful beach then stay at andaman, four seasons, datai

but cin cin cai cai also better than cenang kut?

er...coz there are 2 companies operating pulau payar trip nia

so hotel and tour agents, are well agents for that 2 company nia. so whoever u buy from also is follow that 2 companies go, and sit in the same ferry as everyone else, eating the same food lol

2 companies also go and snorkel at the same place , just that the more expansive one got their own floating platform, and offer buffet there

while the cheaper one no floating platform, and u only get 1 stupid totally not delicious lunchbox

i went for the cheap one around april 2012. not really that crowded that time, but then many coral dai liao. really nothing much to see imo. baby shark got la when around noon time iirc

the expansive one got 1 platform lo, got underwater view also. the cheap one, the food really sux to the max, but after snorkeling tired liao u will still whallop it lol

langkawi most common sea activities are - pulau payar, island hoping (cheapest) and mangrove. mangrove i never go before so no comment, and i enjoy island hoping more than pulau payar.

but the most well spent is still the sunset dinner cruise. that one not much ppl go because quite expansive, RM250 for 3hours nia, but it's still the best thing i did in langkawi

never been to tioman before.

but if purely compare beach and snorkeling, redang is miles better than langkawi , then again, i am comparing 7 years ago redang and this year langkawi

imo the water of pulau beras basah is better

not a big difference though

then again pulau beras basah no fish besides ikan bilis...

usually it's the skybridge under maintenance, not cable car

pulau payar is ok ok la...i enjoy island hoping more

i love langkawi

becoz : duty free for alcohol, food is ok. as long as got that 2 and got beach, i am a happy man. anyway, langkawi beach ain't that good only, neither do the water is crystal clear too . pulau payar marine life is much much much worse compare to the one at redang (which i went almost 8 years ago anyway)

PS: din't see ur post quoted mine. yea, pulau payar is like located in between penang island and langkawi island. there are many agent selling pulau payar package in langkawi. 1 of the main attractions when visit langkawi la
