back story about dis is the test driver got cutoff on the highway and he swerve n hit a divider. is accident liao.

and reaching 200kmh at 5k rpm is not about the engine, is about the transmission. better fuel economy. engine good or not we look at red line rpm how high, accelaration curve straight or not, torque curve reach peak at what rpm.

Why every thread that comes out about proton is about top power top speed but nothing about top quality or reliability?

Talk la about what they have do to improve of quality.
Getting top power and top speed is easy, even a bloke with a garage can do it. Just slap a powerful engine in.

But that bloke never made the engine himself. A lot of people are complaining about underpowered protons. If anything this is showing they are solving 1 problem already. Next as you say is the quality.

I think more people are complaining the quality/reliability than the underpowered-ness.
Besides that, increasing power without fixing the reliability first is the wrong way to go.
In terms of power, the Campro 1.3 and 1.6 isnt that bad, although the engine isnt refined.

i'm not too sure about the number of people complaining about reliability vs engine power because i'm just hearing so many things it's all just a big blur that needs cleaning but you have a point

when you drive, it feels stable until what speed? normally local cars stable till 120kmh then feel steering ringan...

when i drove it, steering was okay because it's still using hydraulic steering. in fact it was a little heavy, but still responsive. stable for me was all the way stable up to 150km/h. i never went higher so i can't tell you 200km/h.
