QUOTE(ozak @ May 17 2012, 10:33 PM) Last time I used Maxis, cannot P2P download movies, etc. Prawn also banned for many sites, so not happy and if it rains, worse, cannot do office work as files get interrupted when downloading. This happens when I'm at Wawasan area but no complaints when I'm back at Bdr bkt Puchong area. |

QUOTE(PangurBan @ May 18 2012, 03:55 PM) Brother, landline or wireless, still apply same ban, no? Hutang 1 month also start to freeze you, unlike Unifi. Start torrent dowload, suddenly kena throttle, landline tarak-meh? That's why I moved to Digi then Unifi...downloads like breeze everyday, 6 months pay one time...no complaints. Just comparing since I used Maxis in 2005. If they have improved now, good since I like their promo prices but I'm already contracted to Unifi for 2 yrs. |

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ May 19 2012, 08:05 PM) Just found out by using a energy comsumption meter that my Astro silver decoder operating wattage is 12.5w on standby mode. If I switch off the main power from 12am to 12pm everyday, I can save approx rm18 a year. err...On/Off/On power ok-kah? If I switch off the power, means at the mains which kills power to my TV, Astro, Unifi + router...will this short something? Also, my aztech modem and linsys wifi router are consuming 14.7w on 24/7. Had I switch it off before bedtime and switch it on whenever I need to, I could have save another rm24 a year. Oh! My C2d pc + 22" LCD + speaker and sub woofer need 160w energy when surfing lowyat net. Playing a youtube video on a new tab will increase the meter reading to 170w Very interesting toy indeed. |

QUOTE(hackwire @ May 22 2012, 06:01 PM) ozak, your goal to protect the environment is a good cause but you need to know the different between reality on the ground and what you heard. i been a hiker for quite a long time in Penang and only recently i start back and hike this hill, what u described about the mentality of people is not true. Well there are certain kind of people who are actually pretty dumb but at the same time there are also good activist who actually go all the way into the wild jungle and waterfalls to collect all these rubbish. If you visit Frim, u will still see this sort of animal throwing water bottle and nasi lemak pack there. fuuh! another Penang lang! Yes, support your call to have more voluntary Rangers to help protect the hill. We residents in Puchong should help out to maintain our green lung before the greedy developers buy up from corrupt local officials (BN or PKR, all same)..we should organise more walks, bring our children and also educate them and so they will continue our efforts! And what u never seen before is the camaraderie of hikers that save this jungle and mountain from the selfish institution very long time ago. Have you ever visit Penang hill , botanic garden and youth park in Penang b4?it is so clean and well maintain without the need to educate anyone. nobody throw rubbish or destroy any plant or flora there. why? the more u protect the more it's at risk of destruction. And it's only one part that is accessible to public, it's not the whole mountain. Even the Puchong hill, nobody venture out of the trail. only certain path that goes in and out. if they want to protect those forest than the authority shouldn't be selling those land to the developer who had already selling bungalows up there. There's already development and cutting of hill there already and what did they do???? But just a small path for hikers that don't even penetrate deep inside yet, they are blocking hikers to access. what a hypocrite isn't it. Im sure more people are willing to volunteer to be RANGERS to protect this hill when one mention about preservation. Let's become the Rangers and be part of the forest protector . |

QUOTE(PhungTM @ Jun 14 2012, 03:10 PM) Rejuvenate = bring back to life..my bad on the spellin. Shouldnt the Setia Walk people 'bring their place back to life'? Looks dead from the outside and pity those who bought the lots...only the developer is happy getting the sales and money first. |

QUOTE(ronnie @ Jun 30 2012, 04:37 PM) Agree..was there last Sun, not much choice also. Need to include more creative drinks in thier menu. Service was good though. When I drove alongside Setia Walk, towards Puteri, noticed that they have cut the beautiful trees along the road, wonder why the council allowed that. No point telling developers to plant trees and cut them when they mature...dumb mentality! When I was driving to Puteri residential area, saw our boys in blue starting their operasi, nearby the hospital. Starting early? Also anyone been to the Puteri mart foodcourt lately, the 928 foodcourt? Seems like lazy stall owners hiring Myanmars and Banglas to do their cooking and manning their stall or worse locals who do not have an idea of cooking. The tai chow did not have the same flavour as before and the mee yok was tasteless...same for the viet food manned by myanmars...sad! |

QUOTE(chcheck89 @ Jul 9 2012, 03:39 PM) Oh dayumm~ shud have turned down the job offer..Fcuk....if every Nite have to go back after 9pm..might as well head to Fitness First.... Good place if you want to work out with sufficient machines. However, lately there are too many African and Arabs, they are not bad but we are paying full price and they are under student rates hence exclusivity goes out the door. Better to go to the one in Empire as there's and open infinity pool and less students.anyone in Fitness First IOI? is it good??? Not too keen on other fitness centers like Celeb and Gorgeous as they may not guarantee longterm in the biz and may chap lap if not enuff members and also their clubs are limited. Preffer FF cos they have more branches in Malaysia..and world wide. |

QUOTE(unig @ Jul 17 2012, 01:40 PM) I see a lot of massage centers opened in Bdr Puteri with closed doors and budget hotels mushrooming. Therey are not so open like in the pictures from Metro so I'm not sure which part of run down Bdr Puteri is that..Then again, Bdr Puteri is not the only place in Selangor/KL or even Malaysia that houses vice dens..where there's demand, supply follows. Even in Thailand, every town has a vice den, and Hatyai is more famous as men from Malaysia are the best customers followed by Singaporean, but Hatyai does not do it so open like how our close minded Metro says it..even BB is famous for vice but does Metro sensationalise it? No need to call the kettle black when even you are not free from vice It is up to the authorities to take action as the owners are liable to be hauled up when they rent out their place for vice activities, so much so even the budget hotels are fire traps during an emergency, wat more Health Clubs. |

QUOTE(wts6819 @ Jul 23 2012, 03:45 PM) So, need a review/feedback why Koi Tropika condo 1020sqft price about 280k. Looks cheap but sound fishy to me. Please advise. May be sharing with some squatters, African students, factory blue-collar workers...I see them in the evenings going back there or could be using short cuts. At night the area is full of cars indicating many people renting rooms too.. |
