are you serious Hilton build at Perdana  laugh.gif  laugh.gif  laugh.gif , you think forien worker effort to stay it or Perdana has alot of tourist point, even shopping complex Perdana also worse then OTK at Prima.
*
Surprised? Yeah, well its happening. These hotels are to service out of towners who visit Putrajaya and Cyberjaya, off course prospective students and employees who going to check out the various colleges in Puchong and Cyberjaya.

Hopefully more roads will be built in Puchong to accomodate the jams on the highways, look at TTDi and Bdr Utama, roads there are purposely built to take thos travelling to KL and away from residential areas which are even not toll(ed)! The rich get richer which the poor and middle class get stomped upon by cronies!

QUOTE(rayng18 @ Mar 6 2013, 07:30 PM)
yup leave b4 7am u will be fine
*
(Edit/added)
Not now anyway, my wfe leaves at 7 or 715 am every morning and still get stuck after the Shell station for nearly 20-30 mins until the ramp...then its jammed before IOI as traffic merges from Kinrara and Puchong to Sunway Toll. Used to be clear when I leave for KL before 730 too but now everyone is driving to work early after sending their kids to school instead of using Bus Sekolah which are over-charging like mad.

Off course poor town/city planning by over approving housing in Kinrara and Puchong is another reason, without increasing highways and roads into PJ and KL. When are we going to get rid of these people who warm the seats in Local council offices and Pejabat Tanah? Even new government is not helping much without council elections, so cronies end up in the same place..

Anyway back to original subject, leaving at 630 or earlier for smooth driving is best time and return home before 6pm to avoid the Sunway toll jam which begins from 7-9pm.

How many people actually goes into SetiaWalk at peak hours 6-7pm ?
They should move the Bus/Taxi stand away.
*
Actually a lot, even in the mornings as there is a queue for cars doing U-turns, previously no one doing u-turns when Setia Walk was non-existent.

Bus stand should only be for buses and not taxis, damn stupid taxi sapu drivrs and people picking up their friends and relatives at the bus stand instead fo the taxi stand behind. Where's the so called SPAD when their Enforcement director lives in Puchong? Cant he see the problems faced by tax paying citizen who get stuck in jams caused by these low-life taxi sapu drivers?

Waiting for another incident is the slope that houses Puteri 13, 14, and 15. There is a development below which seems to be cutting the side of the hill, and from history, excessive cutting is never checked until last minute..

there aaa.. i know a lot negro there.

So far the Africans (not nice call ppl negros) in my housing area (Bkt Puchong 2) well behaved. If gaduh also with their own, no damage to community. Depend on people not race, so better to stay in peaceful area where less rempits.

Another thing that they are famous for is their Roasted Duck. I saw their roasted display the other day but they have not started selling yet kua...Anyway, I still prefer Soon Lok Roasted duck
*
Prefer the Hokkien Mee (KL style) at the coffee shops next to Tesco (wawasan), cheap at RM5 and can ask extra lard bits! Fresh air too..lol! However looking for the original Pg Hokkien Mee in Puchong area, a lot of misses and no hits.. sad.gif

Siew ngap still prefer to go all the way to Jinjang...cheap and naise!

Opp Ramai (formerly White Horse), I think. Behind the famous lighting shop. Nowadays rarely go there as there are too many drunken Burmese and we Thais are not so fond of the betel munching sarong wearers!

..another at Wawasan coffee shop same row as the pet shop, next to the optical shop. The guy sells at night only..still good Hokkien (char)mee.

ETA opening next weekend T^T

Goto UNHCR office in Bukit Damansara (next to HP Towers), a lot of Myanmars who speak fluent English and have work permits. Or else ask the ones who are already working in Setia Walk to recommend their friends..no use looking for locals.

And yet the so called 24hrs API reading by our DOE still showing below 200 as at this Morning
*
Yesterday nite go dinner in Harbour Steamboat also see ppl like dun care only, walking in the streets without masks. My family all looking zorro with my 3yr in masks but I see parents in big Estimas and Alphards all cud not care less. Got money for treatment later maybe?

Earlier wanted to go lunch at restaurant in IOI but they open door to outside, so walked out since they so stupid to let haze into their restaurant with kids birthday party going on. Their pinoy waitress also like blur..I ended up in Esquire Kit since air was much cleaner.

I dun believe DOE reports to the public, got fren in dept, said that API was closer to 300 for Puchong, but they dun wan to panic the people. Thinking Muar figures should be higher, if not why close schools in Selangor and KL if API was only 100+?

In the UK, TESCO is seen as a low-price outfit.  There's a hierarchy there like here.  At the top of the chain here is probably the likes of Cold Storage and Grocer 33.  If you add the food department of Marks and Spencer's that's probably ahead of Cold Storage.  Below these guys, you have Jusco probably.  Then followed by TESCO and Carrefour and possibly Giant.  Then Hero, Econsave, KK, Speedmart.  Then Kedai Runcit Teik Huat etc.  The Brits can be VERY snobbish.  Some people won't be seen dead buying stuff from TESCO because it's near the bottom of the pecking order, just above really cheapskate places like ALDI, Lidl and ASDA.  These people shop at Waitrose and Marks and Spencer's and at a pinch, they might even go as low as Sainsbury, but no lower.  But they might buy online from TESCO because then there's no danger of them being seen in a TESCO outlet.  Apparently some of these people complained to TESCO's management for delivering their groceries in vans clearly marked with the TESCO logo.  Paiseh, ALL the neighbours can see that they're buying from cheapskate TESCO.  rclxm9.gif
*
Back in the days when I was studying and working in the England, these were the only places I can buy food to eat and hold dinner parties. M&S was not that expensive either but not much in foodstuffs like Asdas and Tescos or even Sainsbury's. Only problem was that they did not gve free plastic bags so had to get boxes and haul them like workers..

Even Tescoes here in Puchong have certain class, you can see by the people who visits them..so I rather go on weekdays to avoid them.

Wish for a Cold Storage in Puchong so I can shop for higher grade of fruits and foodstuff since can afford them now..pity the best quality fruits can be had at Hero and not either of the marts.

Should be whole Malaysia now. Got new thread on this right now. Sabotage?
*
No sabotage, more of penny smart, pound foolish! Found out from fren that maxis had earlier gone 'cheap' and went with a certain Telco supplier from China, hence pay peanuts, get...? The router at one of the exchanges went bust and the redundancy was also sitting on the same rack..smart eh? So same thing is happening to Digi as they too went cheap (or were enticed by the China girls in the Kok rooms provided by the Telco)

Expect downtime in your calls and connections until the existing Telco provider upgrades their quality..hearing they paying a lot of money in penalties at the moment..lol!

Let's play connect the dots :
The high turnover is happening not only in Puchong, but matured areas like SS2 too.

https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2781371

Malaysia's economy is not healthy, but you would be blind not to see that.
*
Okay, one of the reasons for the high turnover (mostly shops) due to black money being rolled by our local gangsters/politicians/PLC. They use the shops, restaurants to roll their illegal earnings by using their people to buy/rent shoplots and then turn in the money after profit is made as they are not really in the business at all. Even corner shoplots get snapped up by them and they either sell or do a short term rental. Also there are cronies that get paid with shoplots and businesses when they grant govt. concessions and projects. They are not the small fry stupid enough to have money banked into their accounts or keep in shoeboxes.

Another way of biz is selling recond cars which even their own memebers will buy and later sell..you think Ferrari, Porsches, Lambo, RR Evoques, GTR and Alphard drivers are rich upper class millionaires?

Black money = profits from prostitution, drug trading, illegal gambling, hijacked goods, etc.

See how long can survive the ever inflated rental of shoplots in Puchong.. That Penang One beside KPJ still in Business? Well, so-so only..

Expensive like gila and food is nearest to what you can get in Penang especially the Duck soup Koay Teow sold in the market. Also the Ais kacang and Bak chang is from the original stall which I used to frequent when young and still do when I go balik kampung.

Will try the opp shop means next to AM Bank, right?
