Called Maxis yesterday about the Personal Hotspot, they said they they do no support for the new iPad yet. There will be a carrier update soon, but they did not say when, it might take 2-3 weeks. They will speed it up if they found any urgency to (That is depends on customers' demands)

Is there anyone here who is, or have a contact, working in Maxis that can confirm the management has decided, or is deciding for this?

I went to their service center in Sunway, and the fella who I talked to was completely clueless about the missing Personal Hotspot on the new iPad. "If don hav, dun have lor" was his damn reply. I told him already that Apple officially made a statement regarding this and that they need teleco companies confirm with them if they want the Personal Hotspot enabled for their users. The fella keep saying "Got ar? I dunno wor".

Those who want Maxis and Digi to start allowing the iPad to have the personal hotspot, should pay a visit to their service centers or roadshows, and threaten that you would be switching to uMobile if they don't provide it.

I earlier talked to a salesperson a the Maxis roadshow in Low Yat. Told him that I've been with Maxis for 10 years already and I am considering moving to uMobile for their data plan that allows the iPad personal hotspot. Hopefully he would remember to tell that to the sales manager and get Maxis a bit more worried.

Maxis couldn't be bothered if u move to uMobile. After all, they have new customers every day.

Just wanna ask you all, did you guys face 3G connection problem when you switch from Wifi to 3G?

The only solution is restart your device or reset your network setting(it actually perfoming a restart), and the 3G will work again =_="

everyday i need to restart my device ....sigh....

Mine don have this issue. Urs first four serial is what? Mine is DYTH production month is April.

By the way, wanna ask u guys what is the 3G speed of ur iPad? My maxis can go as high as 7Mbps download speed while my friend iPhone 4smcan only go max 3Mbps download speed on same plan same telco. Why? Is it because of the 4g version ipad3 ?
