Can you please read the instruction properly. There is no mark the PDA box. Its click the PDA box which will let you select the tar file you downloaded and then click start.

my firend, u have not added any files to the PDA part of odin, so there is nothing for odin to do ler.u press start also sure nothing la since u didnt add the file~

Makred the PDA box and theres nothing happens, i mean where got stated GT-I9100G_XX_ClockworkMod-Recovery_X.X.X.X.tar . But i already download it.

make sure its for G version. Does it use the same cf-root method?

Nvm now im trying the 2nd phone. sigh.

u r in download mode right? its not stuck,its just that u cant do anything other than flash a kernel/ROM which will automatically reboot it, or long press on button to turn it off

any G user here can guide akcatzstudio? if possible auto root rom please... easy..

rmb, CLICK the PDA button than a window will pop up. Choose the.TAR file u have downloaded, and click OK. then click START. Done!!

Phone----exclamation mark----pc. what does it mean?

phone not connected to PC maybe? have u checked whether usb debugging is off or on?
its on developer options on the phone settings menu

which method did you use for root?
what file did you download?

1. Power your device off (shutdown)
2. Boot into Download-Mode using Volume Down + Home + Power
3. Hit Volume Up to accept the warning
4. Start Odin on PC
5. Click PDA box and choose "GT-I9100G_XX_ClockworkMod-Recovery_X.X.X.X.tar" that you downloaded (Note this is .tar file) (DO NOT tick repartition)
6. Connect your Phone to PC
7. If odin detect your phone the first box will turn yellow
8. Click start
9. Once successful the first box will turn green
10. Device will auto reboot.
11. After reboot you can easily root your device using SuperOneClick. This will install superuser and busybox for u.

Edit
Note:
1. Make sure kies is installed for the correct drivers to allow odin to detect your phone
2. BUT make sure kies is not running in the background or odin will not work. Open up your pc task manager and kill anything with the word kies on it.
3. Some people prefer to disable antivirus also.
4. Never ever disconnect usb cable while flashing.
