QUOTE(louislkw @ May 31 2012, 02:03 PM) im testing the cpu from a few to run the benchmark.. oh.. i means ivy need lot vcore to get higher ghz. if compare to sandy la. i'm not sure what you mean power sucker for a 22nm cpu, partly it is due to the thermal interface and not a power sucker compared to AMD FX and LGA2011.. daily use 4.5g is enough for me within the temperature range in full loading.. running benchmark =/ daily use.. it is just for hobby |

broadwell will be on hold til further notice, OEM manufacturers making noise due to intel change proc too fast, unable to target buyer market.

QUOTE(owikh84 @ Apr 19 2013, 12:48 PM) Want or don't want also they will release Broadwell as planned next year 2014. nope, that is a lot manufacturers lost profit for sandy ---> ivy ... and now haswell... hahahaI thought OEM mfrs will be happy with socket changes. Because this will force end users to upgrade and they make more profits. No? Besides that I don't think Intel R&D will stop there without new product in the lab. Every time Intel have released a new CPU that has more features and performance it's required a new CPU socket. yup intel will not stop for new r&d but mb will some delay to release new product like ivy to haswell. |
