Guys, when i'm playing game, it freeze and speaker has buzzing sound after 10-15minutes,
3570k clocked to 4.5.

But when i set back to 4.2, the problem gone, so i try and increase the voltage at 4.5? Currently running 1.255 for 4.5, some people here need 1.38.

But i tried to run prime95 2 hours+ no problem, but after that, when i'm playing Diablo 3, it hangs and BLIZZZZZZZZZZZ sound comes from speaker and dafuq, the long dungeon i explored and need to explore again.

Probably insufficient voltage. Mine 4.6Ghz already use 1.42v to stabilize. For 4.5Ghz maybe 1.40-1.41 will do. Try 1.38v first and increase from there if not enough.

Bliz sound? I only have beep sound from the onboard speaker when my system crashed.
*
Your Load-line calibration(LLC) set to 100% maximum power to CPU right? So now yours 1.41 stable? No crash?

Yes, maximum. I still testing with 1.42v and so far so good but temperature very high.
*
Testing with prime95? tested for how long already.
And by the way, your Cinebench what mark.
Edit: Just checked page 17, your mark is 7.51

Currently testing with Battlefield 3. I will test with Prime95 once my room is cooled with air cond just to keep the temperature within safe range.
Cinebench = 7.54pts

So before you set to 1.42, you play BF3 system crash? So now ok already? (So far)

Yup, not just BF3 that crashed, other app as well like antivirus, printer software, display driver, Cinnebench, WEI performance assessment & some benchmarking app.

So far no crash with 1.42v.
*
k i try to overclock to 4.6 later and post some benchmark smile.gif

What motherboard & ram you use? Stabilize your 4.5Ghz first then go for 4.6Ghz.

just prime is not enough to determine stability.. prime only stress cpu..

when playing games, it add stress to cpu with stress from graphic.. thats why u get that..

i use PCMark  smile.gif

Added on May 21, 2012, 1:34 ammay i know why is your cinebench mark is low? i expect near 9 actually  hmm.gif
*
That's impossible to get 9, i read review, review 5.0 only 8.13. Mine now 7.6x with 4.7GHz, so far no crash, weird.
4.5 @ 1.400 crash when imma playing Diablo3, then i tried
4.7 @ 1.390 no crash, i will try a little bit longer more and check the stability.

Er, how come? That's impossible, unless your ram is golden batch.
Even last time i used the Dominator, from 1600 to 1866 cannot even stable, DOMINATOR HEATSINK.

The name DOMINATOR doesn't guarantee overclockability.
The ram chipset does.

kelvin_hata must have owned a golden chipset.

Ya i know, but he said his rams are "naked". So i made some comparison here.

Well done bro. Basically you could OC any RAM with IB due to strong IMC integrated on die.

I still cant break 6m30s barrier at 5.0GHz.
Wazza checked
TinyXP 32/64bit checked
Large Sys Cache checked

Oh? Last time used AMD, 1600 to 1700 quite difficult already.
So by the way, if i want to make my Vengeance 1600c9 1.5v to 2000c9, what is the require voltage do you guys think?

X boleh la, tried OC my ram, not stable no matter how i tweak, maybe i need to do more researches first hehe.
So far my processor is stable only at 4.6Ghz @ 1.395 LLC 100% @89c temp.
Cinnebench 7.43pts

I tot yours 4.7 @ 1.425? Actually keep on crashing since 1.390, now 1.405 seems ok, will update u.

internal PLL voltage disable or enable?
Spread spectrum: Disabled
Intel speedstep: enable or disable?
For 4.6Ghz

I googled, usually people can get 1.3- 1.35 24hours stable for 3570k, wonder mine why need 1.405 sad.gif.

It is normal. I need 1.4v to run 4.6GHz. Completely stable.

Generally, there are three reasons why they can run 4.6GHz at lower voltage,
1) They have lower room temperature
2) They use better cooler (i.e. water cooling)
3) They have a good chip
*
But H100 conside a good water cooling also sad.gif.
So Internal PLL voltage enable or disable?

Good CPU chip.
A good chip can give you extra 100-200MHz overclock headroom.

Frostytech rated it as the best "commercial" cooler
Quite good.

It can run as good as those customized watercooling with 2x120mm radiator.
It depends a lot on how you place the cooler.
If you place it inside the casing, make sure you have good air ventilation inside the casing.

i7-3770K has better overclockability than i5-3570K.

i5-3570K need 1.4v to run 4.6GHz.
*
Should have got that 3770k, i went to Digital Mall and searched the whole stores for 3770k, none of them have stock. After i bought 3570k, then yoongkeen pmed me, he has 3 units on hands aww.. Diablo on 15 May blush.gif , urgently to build a comp that time.
1.405 for 4.6 is a lot, i cannot pass prime 95 after one hour because of the temperature 104c, unless i set my fan to maximum which the sound db will like a hairdryer, then temperature is 84c.

With my H50, I need 1.4v for 4.6GHz.
Temperature is in the range of 80-85c under load.

Try OCCT instead of Prime95.
*
may i know some of your settings in Bios?
IGPU Load-Line Calibration you set Auto or 100% load.
Load-Line Calibration for voltage 100% load?
Internal PLL voltage enable or disable? Thank.
