Thats is why it is a test drive unit.. lemon unit. But things like this make proton open for attack only.. they should be more cautious on this.

guys,just came back from test drive.


btw, the car still not registered so only in their compound..


managed to test the brake,a bit of cornering with safety on/off,
audio(this one i test kaw2) even bring my thumbdrive and ipod.

1. handling is good,well composed,not much of body roll.can say better than waja.
my father also agree on this.
(mind you,my father dont drive what a father suppose to drive,just so you know )
2. power,like all of you say,once you reach about 1500rpm,there is a power surge.nice btw.
about the lag,can live with it,even my father say a bit heavier.maybe he not wuite used to cvt.
3. cabin,good enough for us,tyre noise is very faint during cornering and braking.
4. ICE,good enough.just cant find where the tweeter. Bass is there,but lack of a bit on clarity.
Once you slot in usb,the player immediately,display the 1st song copied.
Mp3 ID3 is displayed on the screen. just cant fiddle On ICE long enough,there is people waiting.

Funny thing happened, a guy there want to test drive the car.SA give him the key,he just slot in and press the start button. Well,you have to press the brake first right. Then this fella marah2 shout,"ii pun dah tak boleh start,bila beli nanti macam mana pulak". Then the SA panic lol.. Me being a good guy went and nicely say to the guy,"Bro,you have to lift up the hand brake. before you start the car, press the brake la.". Then he do what i told him, the car just start. The guy then,"Oh,itu mcm ka".. I was speechless.

alignment jerr. can just imagine how hard that car kena whack edi alignment sure lari lol don't care what car. My car i bring to track 1 day the alignment can lari up to one whole degree from the baseline and I bet most of the ppl who test drive the car sure whack the corners like race track like that

really? the clarity is good enough for me compared to most stock cars i've driven. maybe the settings kot. I'd rate the Preve as above average in terms of sound quality.

elaborate on the ICE part... this one is the part i get to test the least...

what i saw is that the rear speaker is either a 4-5 inch unit... same as front at the door. so i think maybe wont be able to hear nice bassy song. unlike waja which has a 6x9 unit at the rear deck, which can give a descent bass...

oh btw.. get ready for VW announcement for the polo sedan price at 8.30PM later...

Nightstalker1993,yes maybe the settings,which i dont even bother to adjust,i just want test to hear the speaker detail.
btw, it is subjective.

The bass from what i heard mostly from rear speaker.I test from driver seat. The bass i can say solid,not rambling type. Good enough for most people i can say.

proton preve 1 malaysia


just went to showroom , just look simply and normal...i though it can match some other expensive car in term of exterior and interior but nope, it still far far way to go

it do not bring the interior pop up very well, all things is just like ''toy'' and don't have the feeling to it, still local car material

it however is the best proton car i think apart of inspira for it's price tag

i think it better replace persona than inspira, inspira got it own style and what's not, it is originally a lancer design

the exterior is not sharp enough and the front look too big , make it look old instead of zippy because of the proton signature grill is quite wide

but for rm73k with the turbo, i guess i will just stick with the rm62k better bcz the interior and exterior i think not worth the simply design

i saw your post before you edit and seriously i don't know whats with everybody saying the meter looks like crap. The meter looks fine to me. Maybe to those who are used to the new Myvi's optitron meter it may look boring but to me its fine.
