If seriously no choice but have to increase price, I would prefer NAZA to remove some features of the car, eg. Sunroof, infinity 8 speakers, headlamp washer etc... and maintain the price at RM143k.. People will still go for the look  thumbup.gif

I don't think they will be so unscrupulous as to charge extra for us who have already booked and locked in the deal, if really that's the case, might as well add a few more K and get a 508 or get Jetta with 10K discount, even cheaper than the K5's initial price.

I don't look that way, if price increase, definitely sales will drop, sales drop means less demand. Less demand lead to low resell value. Not a good thing. Better pray hard NAZA don't increase the price.

buGG , Agree sutun jambul said.. If price increase ppl hold on to not buy new, but aim ppl who want to sell..
If 1 year old K5 , I sell rm130K , I lost 10K .. But buyer will think I lost 30K , becoz market price are 160K.

Some one posted in FB saying that the delay is due to directive from gov to increase the price. It is claimed that other makes are making complain to Miti on K5 selling price.

If that is true, guess I better arrange for a test drive soon. Am holding up the purchase as I wanted to evaluate more choices and particularly keen on Veloster. I know is a different segment all together but would prefer a smaller nimble car to drive around.

Guess I have got to decide sooner now...

Anyone has good SA to recommend?

I agree with u partly. But if demand is low, people will think twice to buy 2nd hand K5 too. 130k is very conservative price. 130k can get toyota camry 2.4 and still got balance.

When demand is slow... it will affect space part availability... from what I see... is not a good... but u got your point.

The problem is the Gov got no foresight, why wasn't this taken into consideration when they first priced the car? Before that, heard that Naza could have priced the car lower than the initial 143K but because of certain quarters, they set the price at 143K to make it 'competitive'. Teana is priced even lower, why didn't they complain about that as well. Specs are secondary in this case as the refinement of a Teana outshines the specs. Now when T launched their new model and have to price it higher, they complain about pricing. Why can't the govt stand firm to their decision seeing that T has the upper hand in terms of branding ...typical flip flop policies..

BuGG, our point also 50/50 la.. If 1yr old Camry 2.4 won't sell u Rm130K got balance ,but can compare 2.0cc Camry premium spec ..

But i also choose K5, since same price then 1st owner edy lost, why don't take K5 ? Better looking and better spec.. and IF really sell next year, still got 4yrs warranty .. No worry about spare part wink.gif but Camry?

Just my 2 cent , no offense ya.. Take different ppl mind comment learn more strategy .. smile.gif

Dont think they can do that as you have already signed all document and have entered into a binding agreement. Eventhough it they raise the prices it will only affect those new buyers.

i made a call to my SA this morning to have a chit chat. not sure if what he told me is true. Its bcoz other car makers making a complaint on K5 have superior specs and the selling price being set. if indeed K5 gonna increase the price, it wont be as high as 160K. but he did confirm that all these issues whether be it AP issue or complaint from other car makers that by end of the month will be settled.
