if you monitored your cpu using cpuspy before, you will notice that the cpu RARELY reaches 1.5 ghz(mostly at 1 - 1.2, sometimes at 1.4)

btw, I think by default its 1.4 ghz, just that htc had overclocked it to become 1.5ghz

That is the reason why quite a few people who care, did ask the rational not to use Exynos 5 Dual that come with newer generation of GPU.

marketing gimmick I think. since one x is using quad core, and if s3 is using dual core, it would give a impression to the customers that one x is better(since it has more cores, but of course its not the case here, but not everyone knows that)

Not necessarily, so people just like the feel to know that they bought a new generation SoC (e.g A15 based) instead of out going one (e.g A9 based). So that when the need arise, they know the SoC can get the job done, fast.

I thought that was for Exynos 4 Dual 32nm. Because they increase the GPU clock by 50%. Correct me if I am wrong.
