how do u guys manage injury?
i mean, here's my stats of how much poundages ive increased (benchmark using 12reps max and only major movements)

2012
squats (free weights) - 80kg
leg extensions - 60kgs
bb bench press - 35kgs
deadlifts - 60kgs
smith shoulder press - 25kgs
db curls - 12.5kgs db
CGBP - 30kgs

2013 (since dec 2012)
squats (free weights) - 110kg
leg extensions - 135kgs
bb bench press - 60kgs
deadlifts - 100kgs
smith shoulder press - 50kgs
db curls - 20kgs db
CGBP - 40kgs

my injuries are as follows:
pain in left shoulders for any shoulder / chest workout (resting since 3rd week of dec 2012)
pain in right forearms for any bb arm workouts (so now stick to db movements for arms)
pain in elbow for triceps workout (now stick to cables)
slight pain in both knee after cardio using stepper and lunges and heavy leg press (240kgs) - now resting for the 2nd week

i mean seriously, i know some people here are injured way worse than mine but surgeries aside, how do u guys manage the feeling of not being able to do the workout for the entire body part (like chest or shoulders?)

gtoforce it sucks when injury comes in play. Demotivates? Sure as hell but you have to let it go. If you insist of working out the injured muscle, then maybe it will be injured for the rest of your life.

almost 2 months it took me to heal my shoulder injury. I guess it arrived at very perfect time which is at the end of semester where I need to focus more on study than bb (not that I asked for it).

Just take it as a rest period for that muscle group. Learn about proper stretching, mobility works to cure the injury and prevent future injury.

Yeah have been resting.im just glad the pain is only felt during workout (safe for the knees lah).kalau tak sure takde mood.

Im also shunning the smith machine from major workouts involving shoulder/chests. The unnatural movements really f***ed up my joints cuz last year was the most year i did smith when previously i only stick to bb or db.

*sigh*
Im thankful that back and arms are functioning well and have been improving by leaps and bounds...

To digress a bit, i think darklite's diet advice despite being weird, kinda worked for me altho rather slowly lah. Calories > macros. Damn...
