QUOTE(jonc88 @ Dec 8 2012, 01:10 PM) So I guess no idea why Kota Damansara and Plaza Phoenix are marked as interchanges then? No idea about that. About interchange, looks like Merdeka MRT station will be another interchange station, to the Ampang line (Plaza Rakyat). MyMRTUnderground video has been updated. Of which, the Bkt Bintang station design had been updated and with modified construction sequence.

Abang Kampung, are they planning any station beside Loke Yew there? Because they built a jejantas with disability elevator over the Loke Yew there and now there is a MRT Corp construction in progress beside it.

But the stations actually located at Jalan Cheras.

QUOTE(hycl90 @ Dec 8 2012, 02:46 PM) interesting..i notice that Kota Damansara and Plaza Phoenix also consider as interchange station Yeah, trying to figure out why. It could have been an error. Pity the media never asks such questions eh? LOL. The other option could be for some form of BRT. I don't foresee another MRT line running from Kota Damansara, nor LRT either. Could someone check up on the proposed BRT corridors in KL?

Thanks Kampung. So it looks like Kota Damansara is indeed interchange with a proposed BRT route. Is Alam Damai anywhere near Plaza Phoenix?

Makes sense then that they would try to connect all of them together. I realised that you can also see the outlines of the lines being planned for both BRT and MRT/LRT in that map.
Looks like MRT line 3 might go through Titiwangsa and Sentul.

MRT 3, according to plan, will be 61 km long, in two phases. Northern end shall two branches, one leads to Kepong, while another leads to Selayang. I assume Kg Baru LRT station might be the interchange.

MRT Line 2 and Line 3 will be going through areas we have not considered. MRT Corp has already hinted so. Just FYI.

Any idea how was the station location determined? Based upon attraction densities? Local population? And how frequent are the trains at the first stage for public use?

QUOTE(HuorEarfalas @ Dec 11 2012, 01:05 AM) Any idea how was the station location determined? Based upon attraction densities? Local population? Many factors: - Attractions - Population density - The ease of building station - Integration with other rail transit (KTM, LRT, Monorail)
