It's not the problem of walking or not,

just look at KL Sentral Monorail and KL Sentral LRT, I'd say it should be Brickfields Monorail Station rather than KL Sentral Monorail Station,

it made no sense of walking dusty and dark place to change another train

Interchange station is about integrity, imagine one day someone's going to change from MRT to Monorail at KL Sentral,

I'll say they should just use one of the KTM platform, since both KTM lines already has its interchange station at Kuala Lumpur, which just one station away, and also Putra

You are talking about merging 2 completely separate train lines, ktm & monorail. It doesnt look practical to me considering the current layout of kl sentral station

I agree with your point regarding integrity, however as I understand all 3 stations will be linked by covered/airconditioned walkways. I have seen similar stations in Japan as well, where you have to walk pretty far to change from local train lines to subway systems. Thats just the most cost effective way to do it when expanding the network, rather than re-building everything from scratch

Using one KTM platform is unlikely as KTM will also have growing traffic need, especially with the completion of electrified double tracking to Perlis which may offer more services to Penang, Kedah, Perlis.

Admittedly transferring between monorail and MRT would be less ideal in KL Sentral, as these two are far apart, about 700 metres. Nevertheless, there would be air-conditioned walkway between KL Sentral and the MRT, as well as air-conditioned walkway between Monorail and KL Sentral.

Alternatively, it might be better to transfer from MRT and monorail at Bukit Bintang station.

so basically i take train from ioi to usj then switch to lrt to sunway biggrin.gif!!!!

but i might switch to car if it's takes a long time, since car only cost me 15 mintues ride from ioi since the new road extensions have being made. except traffic jam kimak then i would rather take the train
