Connect the phone with PC and use a data recovery software to scan the internal memory.

At least explain what you did to get stuck there. How to help if no info? Easy way go flash a official rom through odin.

True that sometimes newer Roms messes things up... but with proper backup, it's not a problem.

What I meant was, when a new rom is released saying it fixes this and that, it's only sensible to download to try it to see if it's true eh?

In other words, always better to try out for yourselves to see if you like the change right? Tak suka, restore back. Which was what I did...

cos he didnt give any info so only solution is flash official rom though odin... rolleyes.gif universal solution...

Before this everything is OK. Using MIUI before but have some problems afterwards. Manage to claim the warranty and get back my SGSII. Now I want to root it again but fail.

How u root? What did the service center did? Did they change mainboard? Is it still non-G version?

Yes, they say they change their motherboard. Centre here in Ipoh. Still non-G version.
Ive downloaded a file "GT-I9100_XME_I9100XWKF1_I9100DXKF1_I9100OLBKE5.tar" from

Is im downloading a right file. But what shud I do next?

I root using the CF-ROOT method.

Sigh....another weird unknown g version issue.
Some one should start a new official thread for g version bugs and issues.
Camera hang, SD card cause hang, player skip track, now internal memory also can corrupt.

This thread is split to discussing custom roms for non g and bug reporting for g.

I can already predict, people will say are you using memory card, try remove and see still got prob or not.
Got install pirated apps? Camera normal hang la no choice, wait for Samsung update.

key combo into CWM (vol up + power + home). wipe cache and dalvik cache. reboot.

if still cannot try to wipe data (this is factory reset) so your user app and data will be deleted. but your own files (eg pics, music etc. will remain)

Download new stock rom and start over. Use this one.

how is the latest siyah kernel perform so far?
was using 3.1 rc4 but battery life very bad
with data on (gprs) lost about 25% ovenight
with data off lost about 10% overnight which is getting worst than siyah 3.0.1
