To cut things short.. Cbr is more agile than ninja during traffic.. And low rev rpm is better than ninja during traffic.. Ergonomic wise.. Cbr better than ninja.. Ninja front tank n windbreaker covershoot very long.. Its as tho u drive a dodge viper compared with normal car..

But bad point is that.. U'll easily get bored with the cbr.. Riding wise ninja outperform cbr in highway.. Cause the tank able to give u to relax ur body in long distance and also the 2 cylinder characteristics.. Less vibration.. Cant say cbr vibrate like mad.. But more cylinder.. Wont give much strain to the engine compared to cbr..

But if u rarely go highway.. Cbr is a goood bike ! If use highway.. Ninja is the one to go.. =)

Ninja uses ancient ZZR 250 engine.... A very lazy revving engine....

CBR 250R uses a new high tech engine....

FC also better than Ninja.... Climbing hills is much easier with the CBR....

Talking about sound, both also crap....

So the choice is obvious....

130km of highway riding or city riding?

both are suitable for you. let me try to explain the difference between these two bike.

Ninja are using inline 2 engine, a very lazy engine in low rev, you are going to work a bit harder in traffic, but have the top speed advantage if you get a clear highway (how often do you find that in KL..)
CBR are using a single cylinder engine, engine response in very quick. better for traffic, not as powerful in top RPM, but how often do we do that on everyday basis?
CBR are the lighter and nimbler bike for traffic
maintenance, the CBR use less amount of engine oil, so CBR win.

well, i`ll be damned, the CBR win hands down. 250`ers not going to like this..

anyway, my suggestion is test drive both first..

so u wan travel work and less harm , go for cbr ,

u guys said even thou no experience with both motor.
i try once cbr and dun like it that much ( feel liek kapcai
skit laa tpi motor besar tu yg wat rasa down skit bile bawak haha)

ninja = big bike feeling but noob at other thing(boleh laaa nak merasa)

maintenance ? extra rm45 for ninja

cut thing short if u want

ninja = look and highway
cbr = modern tech powerful ,city ride

but bear in mind cbr is new and sure got many problem(go look in the internet) while ninja had been around like 20 years (my fren use 80k mile and only ampu terbakar problem) well its actually depend on luck of
course. kwasaki no sparepart? puii

these are some summary from my experience mingling with bikers
modified lc,rxz, kips oso can tapau both.u need to test both to know which one suit urself.

for me? i go for look hehe
any bike is ok. cuz real bike is still 4 inline huhu

I cant relate riding the CBR like riding a kapcai, yeah sureee my modded LC feel more torquey, but its not built for speed anyway.

Well, I might be damned for saying this..

For half the price of these two, you can get the Kawasaki ZX150KRR. Lower maintenance, same speed.

Agree with u about the Ninja 250 parts... CBR problem ? nah.... not yet heard....

Inline 4 real bike ? ptuiii..... Sorry to say, but very unmatured statement..... Grow up....

Each engine configuration, fits diff purpose....

Talking about power, Some twin are known to smoke inline 4 easily.... summore in track... so it depends....

Try search for i6 bike like CB 1000 & K1600 GTL....Damn nice.....

For me I love inline 3..... so, it is subjective..... laugh.gif

+1....

If u really after for power with budget, then The ZX150RR is the bike to choose.... I don't like 2 stroke bikes, but then it's the truth, interms of power.... laugh.gif

hey bro, what was your previous bike, and the owning experience?

Knowing more about you can help recommend better from the gang here.
Clearly your budget 20k for a new bike no problem, or are you keeping your options open, like for 2-stroke bikes too?
What about FZ150i, CBR150, the new Megelli 250?

ya maybe its depend.its subjective.they are 6 billion ppl on this planet so it might have 6 billion taste but for me 4 inline is real bike refer to sound hehe~ (heck i prefer my lagenda for corner than my ninja hehe)

bout the cbr problem oso its just a speculation since its new but already hear some from komuniti but not serius

u can hear our suggestionis but still u need to test both to get the feeling so u will not regret ur hard earn money...

megelli 250 n ktm 200 oso will come out so many choice...dun narrow down to ninja/cbr only...sym 250 too.

it's not only about what's written on paper, but also real-life conditions/feel

if u malas pikir take fz150(maintenance/fc)or kips(power) these two will
not rabak ur pocket too much

Besides that, u could add another 10K and get er6f/n. If u looking for 2nd hand, even cheaper. The 10K price different really worth it. ER6 is the only lower range price bike that could keep up with bigger bikes @ around 160-170km/h cruising speed. At that speed, CBR or Ninja already full throttle.

If u not really looking for top end power/speed, u better get the sym 250i. More practical, low FC, and storage space for your basics (even laptop).
