heya fellas, need some advise on some rear speaker upgrades...

- Your ride: polo tsi
- Prefer SQ/SPL/SQL: good clarity with light bass (just enough bass, not a thumper fan though)
- File format/medium used in your source: mostly 192kbps or higher mp3 or CD on my RCD510
- Genre of music you listen to: mainly jazz, unplugs, pop, country, sometimes classical and rock
- Setup type preferences: currently using bostons S60 component front (LIKE), but the S55 coaxial rear is quite crappy...
- Other requirements (if any): guess not a bass head so can skip subwoofer

budget below 1k, since i'm only thinking of changing rear speakers...
it's really under performing compare to the front S60

Hi guys, my current setup from a few years ago is as follows :-

focal k2p
audison LRX1.4
helix p400

However, this morning when I started up my car and drove out, i realize the component set is out. Only the tweeters are still having sound, the 6.5" both sides are completely out. What would be recommended to replace these focal k2p comps ? budget is around 1k - 1.5k.

Used to do it when I just bought them in 09, but nowadays, once in awhile only.

For now, just looking for replacement options , I'd definitely bring it to the guy that does my wiring to have them checked out before doing anything. It's just that I'm out of town now cuz of exams.

not really, i went with this set in 09 as recommended by ckmoy007 and I never looked back, very satisfied with the cash I've spent and I've never had issues. I'll try to find a local shop here to get it checked out then. But anyways,IF the comp set is truly out, I'm only looking to replace it not upgrade it. Something in the same ball park as the k2p.

i plan to get a suzuki swift as my first car, but the gx spec is only come with 2 speaker at the front seat , and unfortunately i do not have any knowledge  about car audio system, mean 0%. i plan to get 2 speaker replace the front seat there and that 2 original speaker move to the rear passenger seat ? is that good idea ? or probably get another 2 small speaker on the side mirror there.. usually listen more on pop , rock, band or sometime classical. i dont think i needed woofer to boost up bass level. but atleast the normal speaker can give some minor level of bass sound.

i dont know this simple audio setup will cost how much . anyone can tell me?

If I just want a slight bass boost, should I go for underseat subwoofer? I'm getting my Inspira soon, and I have Rm2k budget for the ICE. Still thinking what to do

Dude, easiest way to decide is to hang out with people with the same car model and try their setup. Incidentally Howie from EA Autoworks has a ICE-d out Inspira, but not showcar level ICE. You should try it out

Currently was planing to get a 4" speaker for my myvi which located at the dashboard. Any recommended? budget about 300-400(MYR)

6" speaker located at backseat side door, won't so fast to upgrade 1st

just want some improvement will do, as im not 12/24 hours driving that kind of people also. 

i know about this, as my friend was doing car accessory shop, he do mention what exactly you said too
But i told him what i exactly want, as my house have several brands of car. I notice that Toyota stock speaker is acceptable for me. and my Myvi was the worst stock speaker compare to others. I just want to improve to beat the toyota stock speaker. So he recommend me a Rockford Fosgate prime series, 4", forgot model. But i hope there is more recommendation get by here. As long as after changed and it is acceptable for my ears. that would be enough
if not, then will only continue spend more on 6" speaker at rear, and add 2 more at side panels and so-on

what can i do now, if i dont want to make a lubang at my door 1st.. it will void warranty. that's the reason i choose to change the 4" 1st.

if you die die also don't want cut door panels, maybe can consult howie as he's done a lot of 4" dashboard setups. i personally can never accept those setups.
