my 2006 Myvi audio sysyem has gone mad . On and off randomnly while driving, if langgar jalan tak rata, lubang lagila cepat off means blank on the LED display..lepas tu on sendiri balik..kadang2 kena ketuk baru on...kadang2 ok lama. Any advices? Where arr to check audio system for Myvi...

Stock HU? If yes not bad la. Can last 9 years. Mine mati after 5 years and buttons sometimes goes crazy.

File format/medium used for my source: Radios/Pendrive/USB cable to HP
Music genre: All of them
Budget: Less than RM5000-- (including upah installations, sub box and door sound deadening, door mod, up big3, etc)

After some googling I've planning these setup:
Headunit: Pioneer DEH-80PRS
Front Speaker: Focal Expert-PS165V 6.5" (need to mod door panel for these)
Rear Speaker: Keeping the factory speaker (prefer to have some sound source for the rear penumpang, maybe upgrade later or none)
Subwoofer: Focal Sub-P30 12" (not sure bout the box, sealed? ported?)
Amplifier: Alpine MRX-V70 5 Channels

Need some suggestion from others ICErs & sifus. TQ and happy CNY!

Can. But why would you want to? Unless you have access to it cheap? It might cheaper to go aftermarket.

just curious where u get this setup suggested? why much a focal pair with alpine amp?

I read many great reviews about the 80prs. Thats why I choose the pioneer.

And I planned to paired that much of focal with alpine because of this link (http://xciteaudio.com/CNY-Focal_PS165V-Focal_SUB_P30-Alpine_MRX-V70). Is there any problems with focal and alpine brand? My knowlege bout ICE is little to none. I'am assure sifu could recommend better equipment matchup! I appreciate any comment or suggestion. Tq.

just fyi that site are more or less a marketing company that getting all recond / ap set of product into malaysia without going thru legal distribution. i would say their ice setup are more or less "janji boleh jual" type.

But focal + alpine is not only use by them. i had saw a lot of alpine and focal setup done by local store with sub par results.

if you were to get your system done properly, do not spend all ur money into buying equipment. The better equipment you get, the harder you juice it.

My advise is, make a proper install and some decent accessories added on for your install. It will make a cheap speaker sounds good.

Advice needed:

Ride : 1. Mitsu Triton (2006 version, not present latest version).
2. Hyundai Santa Fe (earlier 2011 version)

What I need: Double DIN display, able to display Reverse Camera, Good Audio for stock Speakers, GPS would be a plus but not compulsory, USB if possible.

File format: MP3, FLAC if possible, video file is not compulsory.

Budget : RM500 or around there.
Purpose: To have reverse camera for both rides. Need to replace the original Single DIN unit to some clean audio. We are not bass head.

Any good Head Unit recommendation will be great.

Q2: Brothers has good offer for Panasonic VM6553H. Is that unit ok for this purpose ?

Thanks for the tips. I planned to not rush the whole built.

After much more googling, I think I would divide my built to 3 phases (2-4 months per phase).

1st phase is getting a deh80prs, an mono amp ab class (not sure wt amp yet), a 12" subby (jlw3v3 probably) in sealed enclosure. The prs will be set to standard mode front=stock speakers, rear=stocks and sub=12" sub. I will play with these setting for a while before going to next phase.

2nd phase is getting front pair of 6.5" comp speakers with tweeters, a 4 channel amp (2 for tweets + 2 for comps), front doors sound deadening, and door mods. The prs will be set to 3 way active mode. High/tweets mid/comps low/sub. No rear speak and no passive crossovers.

3rd or final* phase is getting pair of 3"/3.5" speakers, and pillar mod (for tweets and 3"s). The 3" will be used for high mid, previous 6.5" comps for low mid. The tweets will be powered by prs and 3"s and 6.5"s from the 4 chan amp.

*after 1 year the final built more or less will be like this

this setup was semi 3 way active. can be good as well...but just fyi, i have a customer letting go his fairly great condition p99rs for 2k++....

if u get a p99rs u can direct 3 way active, which is more desirable.

P99RS. Now that bargain but too serious for me la I guess. Besides I just received a 80prs today, ordered from my JB friend last week, ap unit. So that is the end of that.

Now need to concentrate on the mono and the sub and the box.

- File format/medium used for my source: CD/USB/MP3
- Music genre: Rock+Jazz+Musical
- Budget: Budget RM500 not more (4 speaker only, 4 door with crossover? )
- Setup type preferences: Dont have an idea, what suits my budget?
- Other requirements (if any): I wanted ONLY speaker for my 4 door only for now, later on subwoofer la, my HU currently using Pioneer, not sure what model, got 50w x 4 marking, with mosfet or what forgot
