Ic2.. Actually my budget is 2k.. now push to 3k (exclude HU). So each item average around 800++. At 1st, I saw those 800++ for everything in forum. (Components, Sub, n Amp). Not sure how it sounds. From Ampang bro...
*
Wow.. that's a pretty comfortable budget. A good 100W RMS output amp and a set of dynaudio (2nd hand) speakers would fit your budget nicely. Probably can squeeze in a 2nd hand sub. JL W0 perhaps.

The difference in how a $800 setup sounds vs a $3000 sounds is how well the tuner tunes the setup. If the RM3000 tuner is good, it'll beat the socks off the RM800 setup regardless of how well it's tuned.

Wondering,

Other than Speaker cables, what other cables are needed?

RCA? (got difference between Subs and Speakers right?)
*
Speaker wires, RCAs and even power cables is a subjective topic. Some say changing to different ones will have a difference some say not. But the obvious difference is comparing the cheapass RM15 RCA with a RM350 RCA. You'll definitely hear a difference assuming you don't have any hearing problems. Same goes for the speaker cables. Try comparing a RM400 cable with a RM600 cable - that's when it becomes subjective. Personally I love the Phoenix Gold Zero RCA and the thickass VanDenHul speaker cables both with silver tip paste on it and silver soldered connectors. But that's just bloody extreme and bloody expensive to justify the sound.

How good a power cable is does make a difference. A properly powered up setup will perform better than one that has fluctuating or poorly grounded/powered setup.

not sure bout the kenwood but focal access i think around 700. soundproof will get better sound, ranging 250-500 for 2 doors depending on material used.

focal tweets are love/hate thing
audition before purchase is a must
id focus more on spk w/ good bass than soundproof
soundproof isnt magic,,,,a weak bass is still weak bass

u can buy save the money of soundproof by 300-500, then u buy a speaker at 1.5k, i very sure u still disappointed. u buy a rm800 speaker, u install soundproof, the difference is significant, provided u use the correct mat for soundproof.

a 1.5k spk w/ good bass will pwnz/tko a weak bass 800 spk + 500 sp in every aspects
not saying sp job doesnt work
juz dat contrary to popular belief,sp thing shud considered as bandaid/optional
sort our spk selection 1st,install properly
then decide wheather bandaid needed/ not

good spk w/ good bass offtheshlef r out there,we need to search for them

current hu can drives the most speakers (unless u start using 2.5-3inch voice coil mids hehe)
question is will it enough for you? some people like to listen @low volume ~90db, some like loud 100db++, the louder u listen the more u need higher power

if u are not fancy into the brand, u can get a lot better choices with that price smile.gif hu change is not a must, but it certainly will give u better output if u change to a decent 1...

for j spec, if u dun fancy a dvd unit, just go for a mid level single din unit will make ur sounds upgrade by 200% over stocks..

was looking around on more info regarding ICE and was wondering regarding Speaker Wires and what not.

I saw those "Amplifier Kits", those are speaker wires as well? Just that bundled up for easier usage issit? Or Amplifier kits is a must as well as speaker wires?

ICE can be confusing for newbie rclxub.gif
